The TIKI® Brand King Oahu Torch comes complete with glass vessel, four-piece pole, long-lasting wick and a metal snuffer to safely extinguish the flame when the evening is over. For proven mosquito repellency*, use with TIKI® Brand BiteFighter® Torch Fuel, and enjoy up to 12 hours of burn time with each 15-ounce fill. TIKI® Brand BiteFighter® Torch Fuel sold separately. *Based on studies using CO2-emitting mosquito traps which demonstrated over 50% reduction in captured mosquitoes compared to untreated controls. these look like the Easter Island head from Night at the Museum. they are really nice and look great around the pool. I wish the snuffer cap was mounted to the torch instead of the pole tho for when you want to use it on a table or what not. Definitely trim down the wick to just a nub sticking out to light or it will smoke and put out a huge flame. I tried to push my wicks in but they are long and wouldn't stay down on their own.

So I love all things Tiki, and had to have this. In fact I bought several for my deck. I even bought back ups in case one breaks. They look great if you are into such things. My only complaint is that they do fade to clear glass after a season in the sun. Starting out they are a beautiful shade of blue. But I live with it because I like the design. They are glass so be careful, as they will shatter if dropped.

We bought four of these torches for a backyard party. They arrived intact, looked good, and everything was where it should be. One person remarked that a pole they received didn't have threads and couldn't be attached; I think that was a fluke. The "lid" or flame extinguisher was exactly the right height and didn't pull or anything. (Another reviewer mentioned that it didn't fit right.) I read another review that said they went out and bought PVC pipe and hammered that into the ground for added stability, so we did that. We spray painted the piping black so it didn't stand out, and hammered it in. However, we did lightly tap in the bottom section of the pole into the ground a little too before attaching the rest of the pole sections and finally the TIKI topper. They were attractive, effective and gave a nice glow. Highly recommend as we didn't have any of the problems others had!!
