Multi-layer shock absorbing foams over the fist and back of hand offer all the power and coverage you demand in a training glove. Full wrap around twin-ply leather wrist strap with hook-and-loop closure for maximum security, support and delivery. A satin nylon hand compartment liner helps repel moisture retention and keep gloves fresh between uses. Take a step up with TITLE.

He told me to just find some 14-16oz gloves with good padding, so I bought these based on the good price and the Amazon reviews (and the fact that our gym has a bunch of this brand floating around for loaner gloves). Boy did I make the right choice. Obviously I can't speak to durability yet, but I asked my instructor if these were the types of gloves he'd wanted me to pick up, and he was thrilled. He said these are perfect gloves for something like what we do: hitting heavy bags for an hour, hard, a couple times a week. They're not professional gloves by any stretch, but they also aren't at that price point.
They're definitely much bigger and heavier than my 10oz gloves; it's a noticeable difference. But punching with these felt great. My hands are very small, but the 14oz ladies' size gloves I bought provided a comfortably snug fit with wraps; my hands aren't rattling around in the glove, but they're also not constricted and uncomfortable. I probably have a little more space than I need, but it's fine. The wrist support on these is really good, too; the velcro is easy to put on and take off without help, and they come almost 3/4 of the way up my forearm (I'm 5'2 and averagly proportioned), so my wrists aren't going anywhere when I hit. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'll update once I've had them for a while to report on how they wear.

In this case, these gloves far exceeded my expectations.
Excellent quality leather gloves; fit perfectly!
Made very well. I'm not just blowing smoke when I say, 'I highly recommend these gloves'.
These gloves are amazing! After several workout sessions with 30+ minutes of bag time my hands don't hurt, shoulders are fine, and I feel like I can keep going. I am 200+ lbs and 5'9" just so you know my size when using these 16oz gloves.
They are well worth the money, $40 is a steal for these seeing as the quality and craftsmanship are so high. Be sure to get some lexol and to properly maintain your gloves so they will last a very long time.
UPDATE: Used these this whole year and having many many workout sessions against the heavy bag the gloves are holding up beautifully. I got a leather conditioning kit to keep them fresh and they are the best gloves I have used to this day. There is no sign of wear or tear on them and the padding is great. Still the best $40 I have ever spent.
UPDATE 2: its now June in 2017 and im only now starting to notice the padding wearing out a bit. I have used them for both bag work and sparring multiple times every week. Now that I've had them for 2 and 1/2 years my hands start to get shaky and sore a bit sometimes after bag workouts and mitts. So yeah, thats about the lifespan of them. Fantastic gloves and I would recommend them to anyone interested in boxing and looking for good gloves that can be used for both bag work and sparring. I might check out the Title Gel intense series gloves next year.
Because they are leather they will last a while. Spend a little extra and get these over the cheaper version.
