Very strong stitching
Cheek padding is tapered inward and doesn't affect vision too much
Good ear protection
Forehead / Temple area is well padded
Velcro strap is easy to put on / take off
Top adjustment cord offers fairly large range for fit
Design / Material is easy to clean
Interior lining is not very porous which makes the headgear slippery once moist
Hard to "break in" to the shape you want
Cheek protection is not raised and doesn't protect nose
"Gel" padding in cheek area is not very absorbent
Runs a little on the large side (Even following the official sizing chart)
Boiled down: Hard to get a good fit off the bat. Slips around too much even with glancing blows. You'd have to use for a while until you get the fit want and until that point it doesn't really serve it's purpose of protecting you as the slippage and distraction of a less than ideal fit would just be a hindrance. Your better off getting a Platinum series version which is usually significantly cheaper.
Drawback - strap is uncomfortable and pressing on the throat when keeping the chin down, so you have to lift the chin up - which is bad idea in ring.
