Fatal flaw

Look, overall this is a very good tracker for only $20. I was impressed. But, it has a fatal flaw, especially if it is used by kids. When the battery is drained, it loses all settings.

Alarms, time of day, everything. It can't just be synced up to the app again. You have to introduce the device to the app as if from scratch, and then go in and reset all the little details, down to step goals and the name of the user. It's maddening. We got them for our kids and the are great -- except the kids don't watch the battery meter, and it takes 15 minutes to reset the device's details, and I usually find out when the kids are about to go to school and there's no time for setting.

How they made a smart device that can't keep memory through a charge cycle I do not know. If this issue were fixed, it would be 5 star from me.

This is comparable to the Fitbit flex, which I had before but it finally died after four years of non-use. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money unnecessarily. I wanted something with good reviews to track my sleep mostly but also keep an eye on my steps. I usually sleep from maybe 10 to 3 and then lie awake for a few hours and either get up or go back to sleep for another couple hours depending on the day’s obligations. I’m a busy site development and litigation lawyer and each day is different. Some days I walk less than 500 steps because I work from home and some days I walk a few thousand or more when I have site visits. I work out and clean my house, run errands and don’t watch TV or play video games - but I know the 80-hour workweeks spent mostly sitting - and lots of driving - are not healthy. I know I need to develop better habits and take an honest assessment first. I suffer significantly from insomnia which could be related to a mostly sedentary lifestyle or the million items on my to-do list. Or both problems could stem from an underlying issue, but I’d rather tackle the habits than place blame on some inherent weakness that is probably worth beating. In any event it became clear to me that I need to take an honest look at my lifestyle and daily habits and only then could i start to make realistic goals and progress. I bought a smart scale that syncs to an app and I also bought a mini stairmaster to use intermittently throughout the day. I chose this product because the clasp is a snap closure which seems less bulky. I wanted a slim design because I’m a small person and I don’t like jewelry or the feel of things against my skin (I didn’t pierce my ears til I was 40, can’t even wear under garments - they call it highly sensitive I guess - hey we are all unique). I needed something little and light. Here is my first weeks experience: lying awake is registered as light sleep. Having this on makes me feel like I have an insomnia partner and it grounds me, making me want to go right back to sleep. It has become oddly a security blanket that helps me sleep. I’m taking more sleep supplements and committing to sleep! The step tracker used with my stairmaster is wonderful. I put a 4K step goal and find myself being motivated to walk/step more. It does read steps accurately. The app is easy to download and use. You can set your goals and this includes mealtime reminders or bed and wake reminders, number of steps and sedentary alert for certain times of the day which could encourage regular movement. The buzz is subtle. The thing lights up when moving which honestly was annoying while making love and cuddling - I suppose I could remove it but then I want to just fall asleep and not worry about putting my device back on. Having a bracelet on is mildly annoying and a small price for improved health. I cut the end off the strap and it’s even better since my wrist is small. It’s an attractive device and I’ll probably get more straps in other colors. I charged it once when I first got it, it only took maybe an hour to charge and hasn’t died in a week. I love tracking my sleep and steps and I think it’s ok that lying awake registers as light sleep because it encourages me to not do that! I had a bit of a hard time binding the device to the app at first but it just needed time (surprisingly) - that could’ve been an internet problem on my end. Once I figured it out it hasn’t had any issues.

I was able to make it work with my old phone(One Plus Two) but when i tried to make it work with my new phone - One Plus 6T - it's not getting bind. I had unbind the old phone but still it didn't bind. Bluetooth is on but it's just not working. Finally the vendor sent me the new device - it was also not working. But i got a very good support from the vendor. Was able to bind it(required good amount of tweaking in the Android Pie O/S that comes with Oneplus 6T and have to go to various places to enable various permissions). Now it is working like a charm. Overall impressed by the quality. I was not willing to buy any such thing in the past as i was thinking Google fit is more than enough but sometime Google fit was not working and not enough for everything. This one - calculates my steps accurately, calculates my quality of sleep, make me realize that i need to move, tells me that there is a call for me(super helpful when i put my phone on vibrate during the meeting/work). Best thing - this cost me not more than $20 as part of amazon lightening deal. Who would spend more than $150 for Garmin, Apple, Samsung, fitbit etc...even if it is lasts for more than 1-2 yrs...it has served the purpose.

Just 7th month and the wrist band is so loose that it falls off every 2-3 minutes. Totally unusable. Battery is also degrading

I am surprised with the quality of this product and what all it can do with the amount that was paid compared to fitbit. The only reason I got this was to keep my little one to stop complaining that she needs a fitbit as everyone in the family owns one and challenges and talks about the steps per day etc. This arrived fast and charging was a breeze. It uses USB charging so you don’t really need a specific charger. I was able to install the app and connect the Toobur easily(well..by putting my fitbit far far away so it does not come in the Bluetooth radar). Instructions were simple and easy to follow. This has sleep monitoring, steps tracking and options to find your phone,take photos etc. I am not planning to turn any of these for my daughter. So far its been holding up well and charging lasts for several days. I am very pleased with my purchase and my daughter is very happy that she also have a pink fitbit 😊

I like the size/fit of the watch. I bought it 99% for the readouts of SMS texts/messenger/alerts etc. because I cannot always pull out my phone to check messages. I simply twist my wrist and see "text from XXX Hello" and it's perfect. You need to use a 3rd party app, called VeryFitPro which works fine, but sometimes you need to refresh the app to sync your watch. Never had any true problems with the app but I don't use it much. It's mostly for tracking steps/heart rate/sleep etc.
USB charging is very easy.
I am on my 2nd watch because I broke the first one (my own fault) but I would buy a 3rd if I broke another. Worth the buy for a quick view of Text messages (and etc)
1 negative is that it's absolutely 100% impossible to read the watch when you are outside in the sunlight.

It shows in one of the pictures you can set 10 alarm vibrations. I only saw 3 available, also I saw no option to put vibration on repeat or to select a different kind of vibration. I found this watch was not easy to use, I had to contact the owners just to figure out how to turn it off. It did not feel intuitive or user friendly to me. I also saw no option to change the time from 24 hour to 12 hour. Not a huge deal, I just figured this should be pretty easy to do. Also I did not enjoy the app you must download in order to use this. It has poor reviews and forces you to watch an ad every time you enter the app. There is also always an ad at the bottom of the app screen. Overall I was displeased with this product so I decided to return it.

Awful: It Broke Immediatly After The Product Aid Expired

This fitness tracker was supposed to be good and lasting. However, for no reason, it has literally stopped working after the exploration of product help expired. I bought mine in July after my other one broke in July and it lasted less than 2 months before being unusable. It stopped tracking my steps and my sleep. The app that came along with it was also really glitchy and would not track properly. I wanted a simple replacement for my one that worked but instead got the worst possible downgrade. I have had sp many issues with this company in the past and they have offered no aid. I will never buy anything from Toobur ever again. DO NOT Buy This unless you want to throw money away when the expiration date for returning it ends, it's a complete scam and the worst tracker I have ever had. Likewise, Toobur is an awful company that only sells through Amazon so they can avoid giving any help and taking your money for faulty products. Don't buy anything from them, you will regret it.
