I purchased this dryer because due to Covid -19, I found myself needing to shampoo and set my hair instead of my usual go to the salon. I wanted something reliable and economical. I was almost discouraged by some of the comments in the reviews. But I still made the purchase and am thankful I did. Apparently the manufacturer held some of your concerns and made improvements. One comment was the dryer was noisy. The box now says new quieter design. I do not have the old design to compare to. But considering this is a portable unit. It is not much louder than the dryer at the salons. Yes, the tubing is not long but it allowed me to sit and do what I wanted to do. One of the reviews said it does not have a cool setting but now it does. Cool, low, medium and high. There were quite a few comments that the tubing disconnects from the bonnet. One reviewer noted to turn until it clicks but that was not in the instructions. Now it is part of the instructions. My hair is long and thick.

Great dryer for curly girls. I have very frizz prone thin hair. Diffusers don’t work for me. I still frizz out. Natural drying is sooo slow. 😒 I wanted something to speed the process. This is it! I am posting pics of my results. I got this look by twisting my hair in four mini buns with curl gel on top of my head. I sat for about 20 mins under medium heat then set it on cool. Untwisted the buns and finger styled. Super easy . I’ll be trying for looser curls with pillow curlers and update the results. This is fairly compact, works great, and speeds up my dry time a lot! I will also use it to deep condition. Get it if your a natural curl girl. ❤️

As a 60-something, I grew up with bonnet hair dryers and wanted to try one again. This one is perfect. The design makes it easy to store. It is quite light with a great handle. The hose easily stores in its own compartment. The cord and bonnet easily store in their compartment. The bonnet is quite roomy with elastic straps which you can easily adjust to fit your head and rollers. I use really large rollers. I am really glad I went back to a bonnet dryer. I will use a hand held dryer and hot rollers when I am short on time, but I prefer the look I get when I use large rollers and the bonnet dryer.

a few easy changes would make this a better product

I've used this a few times to dry my hair. I love the convenience of just putting on the bonnet and being able to work on my computer at my desk. My hair does not get frizzy, but I don't know if that's because of the dryer or the fact it's winter and my hair doesn't frizz in the winter time. I tried watching a movie the first time I used this product, but I had to turn the tv up too loud. I ordered this product because the description said there is a 6-foot hose. This is a 3-foot hose (probably closer to 30 inches), which makes a huge difference in where I can put it while drying my hair. The hose isn't long enough to place the machine on the ground. I'm wondering who tested the product, and if it was tested by real women in real situations. If the dryer is on my glass-top work desk, it must be lying down because when the dryer is on and standing up, it moves across the desk from the force of its fan. So a little velcro or something on the bottom would be helpful. Because of where the hose and electric cord come out of the side, (hose on top and cord on the bottom) it can be difficult to get situated. The machine must be on your left side because it is not the 6-feet of hose as described. I lock the bonnet into the hose as other reviewers have said to do, but sooner or later, the hose gets very hot, and the pieces come apart. Then I have to wait a few minutes for it to cool off and reattach. So HOT TOOLS, if you're reading this, the longer hose as described, rubber feet on the bottom, and a stronger lock for the bonnet-hose connection would make this a really great product.

I was a little leery about buying this because of the reviews where users had trouble keeping the hose in. Sure enough, the first time I tried the dryer, the hose popped away from the connection. Then I realized that the hose has to be turned in the connector until it clicks. Then it is locked in and can't twist out. The directions don't say this. Don't be afraid to turn it until it clicks! The only other thing I need to point out is that high is Very Very Hot like in you can be burned. Medium is hot and low is warm. There is no cool. This was purchased for my mom who is in a wheel chair and cannot keep her head up under a hood dryer. It was the perfect solution. I wanted her to continue to get perms and sets and this dryer was the only solution that worked. I tried running the dryer while wearing the hood and I didn't think that it was too loud.

It doesn’t say that in the directions. I read that in another review. This was definitely not a waste of money. I want to buy this for my my and sister as Xmas gifts.

I would advise anyone buying electrical goods from the US to check that there is information about the voltage of the product. I had a lot of problems because I had to learn about this myself. There's no information from the seller, on the product or the information leaflet. I had to google the information to find out that i needed to get a converter plug. I'm not an electrician, I don't feel that I should be running around to get voltage information, then to get additional equipment BEFORE I get to use a hairdryer.
Additionally, the seller don't read e-mails properly, I had to write 4 telling them the same thing before they fully understood that the product was faulty; it did not work - despite me having to buy the necessary converter; I was not going to pay postage to return it to the US and with the additional tracking cost - it had already cost me £13.47
for postage & would've cost considerably more to return to the US; and that I wanted a refund to buy a dryer that worked. The 1 star is that they finally apologised & refunded my money. I now have to dispose of the product!

I have used it 3 times and found it very useful. It serves the purpose of having my hair dried without having to hold a hair dryer, which I found tiring. Besides, after the hair is dried, I found it soft and not frizzy. The tube has stayed put for me. A tip to let it stay locked in is to find the direction where the tube will come off and locked it in the opposite direction, thus making it locked even more. The temperature will get hotter as it goes along. So I started with the medium setting and eventually turned it to the lower setting. Be patient, you do not need it on the highest setting. I enjoyed it as it is also compact. Everything can be put back in its own storage compartments. I wear my hair shoulder length.

Really good for curly hair

This item is nice and compact and fits easily under my wicker table which is just under a foot high. It's also slim and can fit sideways in a small space. This is a hard product to find, so for that reason, the price is fair. You can use it to give your hair a conditioning treatment, use rollers, or I just wind my hair up and clip it. I bought it because I have curly hair and I don't like to blow dry it. It dries quickly and my hair feels good when I use it and brings out my natural curl. It's a little tricky getting your hair in if you have longer than shoulder length hair, or if your hair is thick. The temperatures are as expected and the hot, is hot and can burn your neck if you don't put a towel around it. The only thing I really dislike, and the only reason I don't give 5 stars, is because the hose keeps falling out. You can put your makeup on while your hair is drying, but if you move around too much and it's not properly in the grooves, it falls out and this is really annoying. However, it's not that difficult to put the nozzle back on while the hat is still on your head. Or if you have a friend, get them to do it for you. I would recommend this product as an alternative to blow drying and especially for curly hair as it drys faster and does not frizz up the hair like the blow dryer.

Quite happy with this soft bonnet dryer. I read complaints about the hose not locking onto the bonnet, but I had no problem at all. Once it's locked in it stays. Pulling the hose out is a bit tricky because I have arthritis in my hands, but I can manage it. It is noisy, but in my experience, most hair dryers are. It does get quite hot on the medium and hi settings so I just use it on the low setting which drys my hair in 20-30 minutes depending on how wet the hair is when I put the rollers in. (my hair is a little past my shoulders)
The slim line design makes it compact for storage in my bathroom cabinet. I'm very happy with it!
