Cheap and terrible quality “leather”

Very cheaply made - seller’s phots are not representative of the poor quality of this item. I should have gone with the plastic/rubber version instead. I doubt it’s actually leather, looks like it was painted.

UPDATE 3/8/17;
I've seen the other reviewers who state that the bottom doesn't stay snapped. Well it does. However the trick is in where you start the cord wind on the top notch. If you have the actual plug portion of the cord on the inside of the strap instead of on the outside of the holder then the cord all wound up becomes too thick to snap the button. It takes a bit of playing with to figure this out.
P.S. Keep these well out of reach of pets. Because this is leather your dogs and cats WILL want to chew them. We've lost a couple to the puppies. They were completly worth me ordering replacements, and a few for the kids as well. My middle school girls each keep one in their backpacks with their iPod shuffles. No more whining to mom to help them untangle cords any more.

Absolutely awesome little product. Going to order another one for my husband. Excellent and small enough to keep in your purse, pocket etc. you could also attach to a belt loop or a loop on the outside of a bag. Comes with a little dust bag too. Nice touch. Has a cool little notch in the leather to help start the wind. Snap button is large and excellent quality. The leather is stiff and smells like real leather. This would make a fun little gift or stocking stuffer. Fits in the palm of my hand. (I'm a women 5'4" and I have small hands. ) I bought this to help keep my earbud cord untangled for plane rides, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Personal Favorite Cord Organizer

I'm actually here to order a couple of more of these organizers, so I thought I'd leave a review while I'm at it. I've been using mine for over a year to keep my iPhone ear buds neatly organized, and it does the job extremely well. On occasion they don't wind up positioned correctly if I wind just around the wider part, so I occasionally use the narrow tab to take up some of the slack so that the ear buds themselves end up just under the closure, which I find to be tidy and secure. (See attached photos.) The earbuds deploy quickly and neatly when I go to unwind them, though they *occasionally* get wound around one another on the earbud end, which experience suggests is a problem with every organizer out there. I'm pretty sure that has more to do with my technique than the organizer itself, however, and I don't have any hesitation recommending it.
