Parents and children love this convenient, innovatively designed toilet seat created for enhancing the potty training experience of your child. This seat can be used by both children and adults! A magnetic closure gently secures the built-in potty seat into its compartment in the seat lid until it is flipped down for use. The hinges are state-of-the-art slow close chromed metal. The hinges close the lid and ring quietly and gently. The lid and the ring are both white. This particular model fits round bowls which measure 16.5 inches from hinge holes to end of the inside of bowl. Installation hardware included. See size and installation diagrams above. THREE-YEAR WARRANTY!

I bought this for my daughter since we are trying to potty train her. She loved the top and the smaller kid seat immediately. She likes this seat so much that she doesn’t like us to ever even touch it for her, she wants to do everything. It’s really helpful when potty training to have a way for the child to get excited about the activity and this seat definitely did that for my daughter.
The seats, lid and hinge are all of very sturdy construction and materials. All of the surfaces are nicely finished with no rough edges which is helpful because my daughter holds a grudge against anything that hurts her.
It’s not obvious from the picture but the princess image on the seat lid is actually one of those 3Dish images that moves as you change the angle you look at it. The kids all got a kick out of that part.
The problem I ran into was when I was installing the seat. The hardware to attach the seat hinge to the toilet itself was all low quality plastic except for the bolts. As I tried to tighten it down so the hinge sat flat on the toilet base the plastic parts jumped the threads. Essentially they the plastic was not strong enough and started giving having the same effect as a stripped nut/bolt.
I was able to work around this by using some metal washers and nuts to tighten down and sandwich the plastic parts between the porcelain toilet and the metal washers. So I probably had to use less than a dollar of spare metal hardware from my garage to get it working but it should not have been necessary.
That being said once the seat is installed it is Awesome! The children love using it, the main seat and lid have a slow close feature which means you move them just far enough that they would normally fall and it slowly closes them the rest of the way for you. And it is really slow, like 30 seconds to close the lid slow. Needless to say there is no risk of pinched fingers.
The only thing to be careful of in operation is that the small child’s seat (the smaller middle piece) does not slow close. So if the lid is up but the big seat is down and the child pulls the small seat down it can fall at full speed.
Other than the hardware for attaching to the toilet base it is by far the best toilet seat I have ever purchased and I would recommend it to any family or friends with small children.
We had this seat not quite a year. The surface has completely cracked and is not able to be disinfected. The seller is going to replace it. So far customer service has been good.
With slow-close hinges and the child seat held magnetically to the lid, add a stool and a two year old can be self sufficient. It converts quickly from adult to child size (and back again) preventing "delayed warning" accidents and pinched fingers. I have to add this to the list of "great things that were not around when my kids were little."
The installation was fine if not completely intuitive (took me two tries to realize that the securing plastic nuts essentially pushed onto the metal threads and only engaged when screwed into the plastic locking washing). It probably would have helped if I had read the instruction image more carefully. The hinges and hardware seem fine for a relatively inexpensive seat.
The problem was really the picture. On Amazon, it looked like it was just a normal, silly, princess picture. When it showed up, it turned out to be one of those weird 3D/moving pictures they put on kids' toys that has the ridges in it (our daughter has a bunch of bookmarks and things with those types of images of moving animals). The description didn't say anything about it. We were going to send it back, but our daughter liked it, and if she'll stop making the annoying sound by running her hands along the top of the toilet seat (because the surface of the image is "corrugated") we'll probably keep it. I probably would have preferred plain white, and certainly a plain princess picture, but since they probably won't be using the insert for that much longer, I think we can live with it for a year or two.
