About this item
- Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
- 4, 500 SQ FT: Our dehumidifier can remove up to 50 pints of water every 24 hours (same as 70 Pint units under 2012 DOE standard. ) A lower humidity level allows your AC system to work more efficiently because it's easier to change the temperature of dry air compared to moist, super-humid air.
- INTERNAL PUMP: The internal pump automatically removes collected water from the dehumidifier so you never experience downtime due to a full water bucket. Water can be pumped sideways or vertically up to 12 feet away. Water will collect in the bucket until it's almost full, then the internal pump will automatically start up to remove the collected water.
- REAL-TIME MONITORING: After choosing a target humidity level the control panel will display the current humidity level. The dehumidifier will power off after reaching the target you set. If you want the dehumidifier to run nonstop regardless of the current humidity level, press the minus button until the control panel displays "NS. " The dehumidifier will run until the drain bucket is full, which will never happen if you activate the internal pump from the control panel.
- SILENT OPERATION: This dehumidifier is so quiet you might even forget it's there. A peak sound level of 51 decibels (using high speed) will be almost as quiet as a private suburban street or a normal conversation at home. Number of Fan Speeds: 3 Speed
- SAVES YOU MONEY: Since it is Energy-Star rated, this dehumidifier will quickly remove moisture from the air without running up your utility bill. Energy Star appliances are not just better for the environment, they also cost 30% less to operate compared to non-Energy Star appliances.

TOSOT Dehumidifiers Remove Humidity from your Home
Stay cool and comfortable
High humidity levels can give you a ton of problems: it makes it harder for your AC system to run efficiently, and it makes the air feel so thick you can hardly breathe.
TOSOT dehumidifiers remove moisture to solve all of these problems for you. It helps to think of your TOSOT dehumidifier like a vacuum cleaner: it sucks in air from your room, removes the moisture, and then blows the moisture-free air back into the room again.
Benefits of a TOSOT Dehumidifier
The operating volumes of the TOSOT dehumidifier are 52/50/48 decibels on the high/medium/low settings. A decibel rating of 45 or under will be virtually silent. Decibel levels between 45 and 50 are about as loud as light rainfall. Ratings of 50 or above will be equivalent to the level of a quiet conversation at home.
Safe and Efficient
Since it is Energy-Star rated your TOSOT Dehumidifier is not only effective at removing moisture, it also helps you save money on your monthly utility bill. TOSOT Dehumidifiers are also UL-approved, meaning they meet the highest safety standards for use in your home.
Power Outage Restart
In the event of a power outage, your TOSOT dehumidifier will resume operation once full power is restored to your home. The dehumidifier will revert to the same settings you chose before the unit lost power, giving you one less thing to worry about.
Helpful tips for using your TOSOT dehumidifier
Using the Drain bucket
If your TOSOT dehumidifier is running constantly, the drain bucket will need to be drained about every five (5) hours. You won't spill a drop of water when emptying the bucket thanks to the swivel handle and spill-resistant baffles of the drain bucket. To make the bucket easier to carry we recommend that you place your free hand under the bucket when you are transporting the full drain bucket.
Using the Continuous Drainage
If emptying drain buckets is not your thing, you can connect a 3/4 inch garden hose(not included) to your TOSOT Dehumidifier to utilize the continuous drainage feature. This is useful if you have a floor drain or a sink in your basement that you can drain the water into. Since this continuous drainage option is gravity-fed, your drain hose will need to slope below the nozzle on the TOSOT dehumidifier.
Washable Air Filter
The filter on your TOSOT Dehumidifier can be cleaned periodically in order to maintain efficiency. After 250 hours of operation, a filter light on the display screen of your TOSOT Dehumidifier will illuminate reminding you it is time for cleaning. You can use warm water and a mild detergent to clean your filter, but make sure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling.

Could not return to Amazon since it was outside the 30 day window and the manufacturer did not provide any direction on how to proceed with a malfunctioned unit. They also indicated that all shipping returns would be our responsibility.
The pump is certainly undersized for the task and I seriously doubt it will last very long. The pumping operation is designed to start pumping when the tank gets to about 85% full. The pump starts and will stop after 15 minutes in order to not overheat the pump I'm told. You cannot change the 15 minute time interval. After pumping water from the tank for 15 minutes it only drops the water level to approximately 50% - leaving the tank 50% full. Not a strong pump by any measure.
This standing water could lead to mold and mildew in the tank and housing which are not easily cleaned. I asked if adding a cap-full of Clorox or dehumidifier tablets to eliminate the possibility of mold would hurt the pump. Tech support did not know and did not get an answer. Clorox and tablets can be corrosive to metal parts over a period of time but I'll risk that over having black mold growing in the tank.
As for the dehumidifier, it works. Nothing spectacular or better than any other that I've owned but seeing as how their engineering department let this wimpy pump and less than desirable operation get out the door, I do not expect this to last very long at all. All PR - very little substance...
Might update my review once the replacement arrives, if its unbroken and can prove its worth.

Bottom line: very efficient, simple to use, cheap plastic construction and keep an eye on those moving parts like the filters.
Our large damp basement where we watch TV is now comfortable.
The device is small. The read-outs are lit, large and easy to read. It restarts by itself after a power outage. It switches off and on to maintain the desired level of humidity.
The instructions are simple…but should be followed for set up.
The gravity drain exit hole is raised 8 inches off the floor, so gravity can actually drain it.
It is not silent, even on Low, but that is more than compensated for by its efficiency. Far, far better than our previous dehumidifiers! Wish we’d had it before pandemic stay-home!
I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier previously; the Tosot is much quieter.
