As I aged, I have found a need for a taller ADA commode. I purchased a toilet from Amazon from a different manufacture because all the TOTO toilets were more than I felt comfortable spending. After I recently broke my ankle, I needed an additional ADA toilet for a bathroom that was easier to access with a wheelchair. When I searched Amazon for the tallest toilet available, I found that TOTO has produced a line of toilets that are more affordable. I must rave about this toilet. It is absolutely the best. I added a seat (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BO0VFI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
and a bidet accessory (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2XZDGG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to complete my upgrade.
Often the other toilet leaves stains on the bowl until after an additional flush. In addition, I have to use cleaner more often than usual. The TOTO is a superior product. It flushed completely and doesn't require frequent cleaning. My grandson, who uses half a roll of paper every time, has not been able to stop it up yet! It is quiet and the tank refills quickly. I think it is a must for every home. Replacing all my toilets with a TOTO is in my future!
We have a relatively small house which has 2½ baths. We bought the house new in 1992 and it came with three builders' grade American Standard Plebe toilets.
Over many years, we had nothing but trouble with those toilets and had to replace various parts many times and we even replaced the entire mechanism three times.
Finally in 2014 we had "had it" with these units and decided to buy new toilets.
After much research by both my wife and myself, we chose this one.
We were naturally going to buy them through our plumber but we found that Amazon beat the plumber's best price by $100.00 per toilet (and he said he would sell the toilets to us at his cost).
So, even with some trepidation, we ordered them from Amazon on May 1, 2014. We ordered at the same time three TOTO SS114#03 Transitional SoftClose Elongated Toilet Seat, Bone; this is the best toilet seat we have ever owned (even though we have sometimes needed to offer usage instructions to guests ["Toilet Seat 101"!]).
Everything arrived two days later via UPS; the toilets were packaged in two parts each, all in separate boxes. The UPS driver was kind enough to place all of the boxes in our foyer.
As Prime members, in addition to the good price, we even received free shipping!
Our plumber came the next day and installed them for us, charging only his installation fee (which was very reasonable).
I have waited three years to write this review because I wanted to make certain that the excellence of these toilets was no fluke and that they would be long-lasting.
Last year I purchased three Korky 2021BP G-Max Flapper For TOTO Toilet Repairs, 3-Inch "just in case" but so far have not needed to install them. (I did install one when I first received them just to make sure that they fit; they do.)
My wife and I cannot recommend this toilet (and the seats we purchased) too highly. They are comfortable, quiet, easy-to-clean and so far they have not clogged even once!
They just work.
For what more could you ask?
Obviously I highly recommend them and I also recommend that you at least consider buying them through Amazon. As I mentioned, we were a bit leery of buying something like this online but, in the event, the process was as smooth and as excellent as it could be. Amazon packed the toilets well and the free Prime shipping was "icing on the cake." Were we to need toilets sometime in the future, we would buy them from Amazon (not that we think that we'll need any new ones in the foreseeable future!)
Thank you for reading this review and for considering my opinions.

The lid to the top of the tank is sloped slightly downward (towards the toilet bowl). You barely notice it when you're standing in front of the toilet. I didn't notice it for the first couple days because I hadn't put back all the things I typically sit on the lid, since the installation. I got up this morning, half asleep, grabbed a new bottle of mouthwash out of the supply closet, rinsed, put the mouthwash bottle on the tank lid (where it usually sits), then lifted the lid to the toilet and started peeing. After a few seconds, the bottle of mouthwash slide off the tank lid into the toilet. WTF??? Needless to say, pulling the mouthwash bottle out of the pee filled water was not how I wanted to start my morning. After I finished up and cleaned the bottle, I did some experimentation with the tank lid.
First it should be pointed out that most of America uses their toilet tank lid to store things. In my household, it's usually a mouthwash bottle, a bottle of shampoo and conditioner (for those times you find out halfway through your shower, one of the bottles in the shower is empty), and an extra roll of toilet paper, covered in a cozy. What I discovered is that the surface of the toilet tank lid is so slick, and the slope just enough, that any heavy items like full bottles of anything want to slide off the lid. You can try sitting smaller items up against the wall at the back of the lid, but this doesn't work very well with larger items, or big round items like a roll of toilet paper. You can also sit things on the lid VERY CAREFULLY and they'll stay, but the moment any type of vibration hits the tank, your pulling items out of the toilet water.
It's easy to see that the designers were going for a sleek, streamlined look with the subtle slope of the lid, and it does look good. Unfortunately the design ignores how most households use their tank lids. This leaves the customer with three choices - use a couple of spacers to level the lid, and live with the gap between the lid and the tank, find something that offers some friction, to cover the tank lid with (you'll still need to be careful with tall items due to the downward angle), or not use the top of the lid at all and try to find other places to store the items you used to store on the tank lid.
