reliable, cheap, makes a good access point too
on June 5, 2015
These are so cheap and reliable that I bought two of them and used one as an access point for the other. you can set it up so that it works as an access point while connecting to the main router wirelessly, or plug a cat5 connection into it and have it connected to the main router that way. The firmware is incredible, has tons of options and I love the DDNS options so that I can connect to my computer remotely without having to write down the WAN IP address every time I leave the house.
The range on these routers aren't stellar, but that's why I bought two. it does get annoying to have to switch between SSIDs (I have each a separate SSID and channel) when I go to the other side of the house, but at least it is reliable, no dropped connections.
