This glucose gel is a literal life saver.

My Type 1 wife is now prone to lows (one of those side effects of pregnancy that the experts don't mention), and when she cannot chew a tablet or drink a glass of juice, a packet of this glucose gel spread on the gums and cheeks revives her without the need for a $4 million glucose shot.

Glucose gel is the best-kept secret of emergency diabetes treatment. Seriously, my wife was never told about this by any of her doctors, I stumbled across it online.

Every Type 1 diabetic should buy this product for emergencies, and every family member should be trained to administer it.

Transcend is a great brand online, but if you need a pack right away in an emergency, Walmart is the only pharmacy I have found that carries glucose gel consistently 24/7.

I've been a type I diabetic for 30 years, so I always need to carry glucose with me. I've never really liked the chalky tablets, which I used to have to take by the handful for low blood sugar. But the 15 grams of glucose in these Transcend packets are just right. The small size is convenient to fit in any pocket discretely. The tear top is easy enough to open when I'm shaking from hypoglycemia. And the best part is, they taste pretty good--Strawberry. I will continue to buy these as long as they are affordable.
UPDATE: I've added a photo from my Dexcom G6 CGM--it shows the nice boost I got while I was out walking and my glucose level dropped below 85. Instead of going lower, the little boost from one Ascend brought me back up to a good range to keep on walking.

I bought these for my husband who is a runner and is also a T1 diabetic, he carries one with him whenever he goes out. They taste pretty good, according to him, easy to carry, and they do the job. They also have a really decent shelf life so don't be afraid to stock up and keep them somewhere cool and dark. Much cheaper to buy in bulk than individually or in 3-packs from the drug store.

Purchased this item for my Type 1 diabetic daughter who experiences frequent lows. Delivery was good and as promised. The gel has a decent taste and is very convenient to keep on hands for low blood sugars. It's small and very portable to carry in a purse, backpack or gym bag, and you don't have to worry about spillage. It has been our experience that it doesn't seem to raise a low blood sugar any faster than other types of sugar such as gummy fruit snacks or juice boxes, but the convenience of it and the fact you just have to pretty much squirt it in your mouth makes it ideal.
Good product and glad we ordered it. I guess the only negative would be it's a little pricey.

She definitely prefers these instead. Easier to carry and, to her, more palatable. I prefer them because, if she is losing consciousness, she is less likely to choke on a little jelly that can rest on her tongue than she is on apple juice.
