Flexible and Removable Mic with Mute
When not communicating over PSN and just listening to music or watching a movie on your Vita, a headset's microphone can become a hindrance. Connect and disconnect the Kunai's detachable performance mic to meet your needs. And for those occasions when privacy matters, mute the microphone by simply sliding a switch.
In-line Audio Controller with 3.5mm Breakaway Cable
Intuitive placement of all controls provides simple adjustability without the need to remove the headset. Mute the mic and tweak the volume while keeping your eyes on your TV. And, the in-line controller’s 3.5mm breakaway cable helps ensure easy connectivity to the PS Vita.
Independent Game and Voice Volume Control
If the chatter from your online rivals gets distracting and starts to hinder your gameplay experience, just turn a dial on the headset's in-line audio controller to quickly tune them out. Game volume can also be adjusted on-the-fly* so you can drown out your foe's voice but still hear the game's soundtrack.
Quick and Easy Setup
An easy-to-follow quick-start guide makes setup a snap. Simply plug the 3.5mm cable into the PS4 wireless controller to complete the connection process. The headset directly connects to the PS Vita, and no matter which version PS3 you have or how the console connects to the TV, the Kunai is ready for action straight out of the box.
Designed for Extreme Comfort
The Kunai keeps your ears comfy with its padded, adjustable headrail, which extends an extra 1.25 inches on either side to accommodate a wide range of head sizes. When it's time for a break from the action, the soft earcups swivel to provide a comfortable around-the-neck resting position.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new PS4 headset, however if you have a headset that works with the PS3, PC, or XBOX 360 I would look-up and try the "Turtle Beach Earforce Chat Cable" and look to see if your current headset is compatible(note: you will have to make sure you have your audio set-up coming from your tv, meaning you will need either audio outports in your tv, or an hdmi(f)-to-component adapter(m). Along with the 3.5mm to RCA Stereo Splitter Cable also sold by turtle beach)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update 1/9/2016 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-The headset finally broke down after almost 2 years, the casing became loose and the right earmuff(?) came off. Pieced it back together with the aid of super glue and it is working just like before.
-Still use it for everyday gaming and communications!
-Panel on the side of the earmuff actually comes off and is interchangeable with different color models' panels!
The audio range and staging is pretty good, which is only let down with not having enough punch in the high impact moments (e.g. game explosions).
Good sound range and staging
Really long speaker cable allows me to sit well away from the TV very comfortably
PS3 set up is a little clunky - having to switch between hdmi and SCART/composite every time you want to use headphones is silly (not sure why you do, considering the accessories app works perfectly when hearing the microphone/playing back in the headphones)
Not enough punch
Cannot adjust sound profile/adjust the equalisation in PS3 (more of a PS3 limitation, really)
Now on to the headset quality:
I ordered my last Kunai headset in June of 2013 and had it up until March 2014. It broke unexpectedly when the 3.5mm jack went bad. Since I enjoyed the headset so much, I decided ill just go ahead and get the same one but Black.
The headset itself is excellent. When playing most games you can hear all the sounds around you, including footsteps, bullet ricochet, etc. The overall sound quality is amazing for the price and I doubt most people will dislike what it has to offer.
Now onto its build:
The headset is quite small but it does not affect its overall quality. It is comfortable even though I have noticed that if you have them on too long your ears become quite irritated. Also, its pretty flexible. The plastic bends without worry of snapping it in half on accident. Albeit, over 9 months of use (on my first Red pair of Kunais) I noticed the top part was cracking. This may have been due to my clumsiness from mistakenly tripping over the 14 foot wire on a regular basis.Read more ›
The form factor of the product is great. Just a solid headset, and an option usb adapter with all the rest of the wiring harness. Very clean design.
Wearing the headset, I didn't find they felt too tight or uncomfortable on my ears, and the weight is reasonable. If anything they are a little loose when I swing my head around or look down. The ear cups are too small for my ears to fit inside, so they cup around my ears, instead of over.
The sound is really the disappointment here. Think low power FM radio station quality. Bass notes make a sound but its not bass. Everything else sounds like I'm listening though a fog. Stero separation is lacking, so I won't be able to tell where in game sounds are happening. There is even a slight hiss when no sound is playing.
Switching the included USB adapter in and out, the sound quality was the same. I tried both ways to see if it was just the usb/tv adapter letting me down, but it wasn't. I have to think its the quality of the 40mm ear speakers.
So yeah, great form factor, but compared to any 'nice' headphone I've used before, I'm unhappy with the sound. If I could have demo'ed them, I would have bought something else.
