While recently searching for this Tron Evolution game I discovered the (Steam) PC version of this same game suffered a Disney Securom license activation issue in late 2019 making it entirely unplayable for those PC gamers. They unfairly lost the ability to enjoy their own game! You can Google this for more information. HOWEVER THIS XBOX 360 VERSION INSTALLED AND WORKS GREAT on my XBOX ONE X in the year 2020.

The game is about 9 years old and I didn't have prior opportunity to own or play it on any platform. The most important thing my review can tell you fans of TRON and this game is that you can still purchase it for XBOX 360 or XBOX ONE and it is NOT affected by the license activation problems of the PC version.

I have played just enough of the game so far to ensure it works fine and the graphics and sound are still very nice in spite of the age. I'm looking forward to playing all the way through the "story" mode where the game fills in the Tron adventure between the original movie and the newer "Legacy" movie!

This review is based on the Collector's Edition set, and is more about the edition than the game itself. The game itself I would give about 3 stars. It's not the worst movie tie in game I've ever played, and the storyline is good. Overall, I'm enjoying the game play. The camera could be better, especially in some of the free running sections, and the combat targeting also needs work. Tank control also seems counterintuitive. Still, I've had fun playing.

My issue is with the Collector's Edition. The light cycle is a joke. I could have spent $15 on a better toy and saved myself $50. For what I've payed, I expected a far better collectible from Sideshow. In fact, it's because they were supposedly producing it that I even purchased the collector's edition.

It's so not worth it.

Disney and Sideshow Collectibles should be embarassed. The lightcycle model is a cheap piece of junk! Sideshow makes great models, statues, etc. USUALLY, this is NOT one of them. Additionally, the model has an obvious mold or paint defect and the slide out tray is cracked. The game itself may be better, but with the mediocre reviews, why bother. So maybe give the game a chance if you can get a good price on it, like not full price. I do love Tron and wanted this all to be good. Do not waste your money or time with the collector's edition ... it's junk. The only reason I gave this the 2nd star was in hopes that the game has some redeeming features.

What a joke. Sideshow Collectibles should be ashamed to put their name on this. This is not even as nice a collectible as the Spin Master children's toy (at least the toy has lights and sounds). The light cycle is made out of high gloss plastic and does not "light up" as some of the promotional images and the box seem to imply. It is light and very delicate and cannot be detached from the base. The particular one I received had several paint flaws. If I were Disney I would have been repulsed if this had been presented to me as a "collectible" quality piece. Sideshow Collectibles is known for their wonderful work on collectibles and I thought I must have read that they made this by mistake. Their collectibles usually start out at the $100 range and are well worth it, making the additional cost of this set a value if the collectible was what you would expect from them. It might be acceptable as a free pre-order bonus, but it is ridiculous that it would be something you pay $50 additional for. In my opinion the game developers, Disney, and Sideshow should all be embarrassed that this turned out this way. They certainly stole at least $50 from me. Perhaps the game will be worth the other $60 I paid. The packaging is much nicer than what's inside, I hope that isn't true for movie and game.

***I have as of yet not played the game itself. I have currently given it a 3 star as to try not to taint the review of the game itself as another person has pointed out. I will revise the number of stars to correctly reflect the game after I have played it. However, people should have the opportunity to know what they are buying prior to their purchase especially when it doubles the cost of the game.
