He has a physical job and needs pants that let him climb, crawl, squat, and bend.
Been wearing them now for a couple months and they're really comfortable, fit exactly like the 60/40 ones.
They stood up to the environment very well, were very comfortable, and fit well.

Being A Vet of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Infantry, I have worn a lot of BDUs & continue to wear them for their comfortable feel. Not all civilian BDUs are created equal, but Tru-Spec are one of the better brands. These are the really cool Vietnam Tiger Stripes, Gunny approved, Tiger Stripe Products, exclusively by Tru-Spec, BDUs! They feel & look great! 100% cotton, rip stop. Mostly OD Green & Black w/ just A little brown & khaki splashed in. A jungle or summertime vegitation camo, for tactical use or looks good for daily wear too. They seem to cost more than other brands, but you get what you pay for, & these are decent quality! I will buy more Tru-Spec BDUs!

BDU= Battle Dress Uniform. Remember Desert Storm? The tan uniform with dark brown spots affectionately called "chocolate chip cookie" uniform worn by US Servicemen was a form of BDU, the Woodland camouflage version from Vietnam is one of the older examples. History aside here's what you should know. These are sized the same way they were/are for the US Military, ie they are sized to fit as many different body types and sizes as possible. I saw several reviews complaining about the pant leg length, just so you know they are MEANT to be overly long so you can "blouse" your pant legs, kind of like tucking them into your boots but different. Considering almost none of you are going to blouse your pants on any kind of regular basis I would recommend you purchase pants in the length LOWER than your regular inseam. For example, I wear 32x34 jeans, in BDU's I wear Medium Long pants but if I wanted them to wear like regular pants I would get Medium Regular. These are 100% cotton, light and breathable but durable. The knees are double layered to handle the extra abuse they may see and the belt loops are 2" instead of the regular 1.5", due to being able to accept a "duty" belt, usually a thick nylon riggers' belt for carrying a sidearm and accessories and if you're real cool strapping into a .50 cal M2HB in a fast boat... anyways hope this helps for those of you are aren't indoctrinated into any uniformed service civilian or military.

Seems like a very high quality product. But it is sized very large and sizes are vague. I am 33x30 and I ordered a Medium. The pants I got were like 36 waist and 5-7 inches too long and extremely baggy. Maybe by tactical they mean loose enough to hide a shotgun down the leg ;-) Just keep that in mind. I will reorder one in Small Long and see how that works out.

I was looking for 100% cotton BDU pants for EMT. I have some other tru-spec pants that are 60/40 and was surprised to find these. Been wearing them now for a couple months and they're really comfortable, fit exactly like the 60/40 ones. They're fading a little faster but I don't mind. I got the large size. I'm 6'1" with a 37" waist. They fit perfectly.

I love these pants. Definitely a 5-start product. The Amazon prices are pretty good. The size options as listed are pretty useless (thus the four stars) if you don't have anything to compare them too. I would much prefer to see sizes by waist and inseam. Otherwise it's a guessing game if you haven't worn BDU's or have grown thicker since you have.

Here is why I gave it only 3/5 Stars: I do like them and they appear to be great quality:

First off: When they say "Medium Long" they mean LONG. these pants are crazy long. like honestly who is that tall. im 6'0'' and these go about 4-7 inches past my toes when i put them on.

Second: good lord these are baggy. Its like wearing parachute pants. If they were not so long I would have to go to the tailor to have them made not so baggy.

Third: I ordered the "Tru-spec Shirt/blouse in Olive" and then ordered these "True Spec Olive pants" and they are not the same color. which is annoying since it is from the same company: the pants are a darker shade of Olive (actually when i think of Olive drab i think the color of the pants. the shirt is more of a olive drab with grey thrown in)

Bought for my husband. He works in the construction field and wears this style for the ease of movement and extra pockets. After one month of use, two pairs ripped. Not at a seam, but through the fabric itself. The rips were in two different places. One between the center seam and rear pocket. The other, down the front thigh. I would not recommend these to anyone, and will never purchase this brand again.

These BDU's are great! I am six feet tall and ordered the large long. Next time I will just get the large. The large long is a couple inches to long. No big deal I fold them under. The quality is great. I love the material. I would recommend these to anyone.
