I have used this tape in my watercolors to make subtraction lines and I have found two drawbacks. I don't know if they are due to my low experience or to the quality of the product. When I remove the tape it drags part of the paper. It leaves it rough and on the other hand, some paint gets under the tape and the line is not perfect as I expected.

I use this tape to fasten my paper down on my board ... I am a watercolor artist. I also use it when I want to "erase" out a small area on my paper by taping the area, then erasing. The tape keeps surrounding area safe. I am told by professionals that white art tape is best to use when painting because colored tape compromises your choices and makes colors temporarily look "different." White is neutral. I also love that I can reuse this tape. When finished with a painting I stick the tape to the edge of my table and reuse.
