Omega Closure System
Tumi's patented closure system significantly reduces the risk of damage to the zipper. The Omega zipper puller is designed to break away from the bag if it becomes caught. The puller, rather than the entire zipper, is then quickly and easily replaced.
The Tumi Tracer is an exclusive, complimentary program that helps reunite Tumi customers with their lost or stolen items. The core of the program is a unique 20-digit individual product number printed on a special metal plate that is permanently affixed to Tumi products. That number along with the owner's contact information, is entered into our Tracer database when a bag is registered with us, and used to help aid in the recovery of lost or stolen items that are reported to us.
Tumi was the first to bring ballistic nylon to the consumer market over 30 years ago. Now we have perfected it with our exclusive FXT ballistic fabric, which combines a unique weave and a special coating to make it ultra-tough and virtually abrasion proof.
Tumi's patent-pending DuraFold construction method folds and reinforces the corners of hardside cases with heavy-duty stitching and impact-resistant caps that provide superior corner strength and impact resistance for long lasting use.

Can't return because I just have a trip and the need to use it.
Looks like it was USED and bought like new
My first very bad experience on Amazon
The outer case is smooth classic nylon finish with solid robust construction( and a bit heavy). It is well balanced on the 4 wheels and doesn't feel like it will tip over. The wheels are really smooth even on carpet. The front has 2 storage compartments and a clip for your smaller carry on bag or anything small you don't want to carry. The back has a tracer tag where you can register your case.
The way it is designed you have to unzip more than 50% to be able to reach inside the content. It has a very solid inner frame that give the bag it's rigidity. Inside the main storage area you will find two smaller zip pockets to store smaller items. Under the two pocket you will find 2 locking system that you can unlock to expand the luggage.
Upper storage area you will find 2 more zip compartments to store things and there is a suit bag that come with it.
The luggage also has a really nice name tag and a key lock. You can reset lock(the lock is preset at 0-0-0) with the instruction which I got from Tumi Customer service:
1. Turn the dials to the current opening combination.
2. Press down the reset button with a pen or other tool while turning the dials and align the numbers to your desired combination.
3. Your lock is now set to the combination showing when you released the reset button.
4. You may change your combination and reset your lock by following the above steps as often as you like.
This lock was designed to be recognized by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, TSA, and allows the TSA to be able to unlock your bag, using special access codes and tools, if the need arises for a baggage search. This lock can then be relocked by the TSA with no damage to the lock or your bag.
The design is modern classic, with the same kind of black ballistic nylon that I've become familiar with owning Tumi shoulder and weekender bags. I like the fact that it doesn't flash the logo (which in airports would be a sign of "expensive bag -- steal me!) too blatantly, and looks like just anotther black bag from a distance. At the same time, it's incredibly robust, with a very, very firm structure (I can sit on it and not bend it...) and a handle and straps that can take the weight of a fully-packed, heavily-laden suitcase. The interior and pockets are all that you'd expect from a top-of-the-line case of this kind. I did find the expansion system a bit tough to use at first, with the clips a little stiff and the whole system prone to nip at my fingers. That said, the learning curve overcome, it's a robust alternative to the more traditional dual zippers, and offers more flexibility in the range of the expansion.
Like a premium race car, this case moves smoothly and speedily across any and all surfaces with never a pause or a bump. You could race for a plane or a train without worrying what's happening to your case -- it will probably shed some of its grace and composure on you, in fact. It shifts from moving forward to moving sideways without a hiccup. It holds enough for a week-long trip, at least, although with the expansion feature, and depending on how efficiently you pack and what season we're talking about, you could even get away with traveling for two weeks or more with this on a railway trip and not feel that you've been hard done by.
The only caveat is that it is NOT lightweight. Yes, it's a nylon bag. But that strong structure I mention comes with a price tag (and not just the financial one...) I plopped this on my scale and it weighed about 19 pounds. Now, if you travel light, and you're not going to be traveling on trains through Europe, and dashing from one platform to another and trying to lug this case through Metro systems and so on, that's fine. But add a few weeks' worth of clothes and souvenirs to it, and you're looking at hitting airline weight limits -- and killing yourself -- very quickly. I have a Delsey suitcase with a polycarbonate shell of the same size, that weighs about 11 pounds. Big difference, and something to consider. Nope, it's not as nice, the shell has taken a lot of dents and scrapes, and the handles are broken, and... well, you get the picture. This is a much better case, and will last me much, much longer. But if weight is a consideration, it's worth pondering.
The same is true of price. I'll assume that if you're even considering this suitcase, and have read this far, then price is not a factor: you know that Tumi is a luxury brand, and priced accordingly. You get good value for what you will pay, but you will pay top dollar. You could cut the price in half and get a perfectly acceptable -- even a very, very nice -- suitcase.
Still, there's no question that taken on its own merits, this is a five-star suitcase.
