TV-B-Gone Pro SHP works the same way the TV-B-Gone key chain works, but it is way more powerful because it has more emitters and uses a bigger battery. Instead of the batman-like key chain, it comes in a lightweight case that looks like a smart phone. It is easy to trigger whenever you desire with the switch on its front. A dim visible light lets you know when the TV-B-Gone Pro SHP is transmitting (Stealth-Mode is available with double-click activation). Like the TV-B-Gone key chain, TV-B-Gone Pro SHP has Instant Reactivation Feature so that you can turn off many TVs in quick succession.

I often use it to shut off TVs from across a restaurant or store.
However, it's very directional, horizontally and vertically. You have to aim it just right or it won't work.
The fake smartphone screen is pretty convincing, which makes me feel less anxious about using it.
2 - I have had two of this model and used them frequently because of good performance. But eventually both of them will not take a charge from the charger anymore. I thought that perhaps I could replace the battery myself but I am unable to open the case. Has anyone been successful in finding a way to open the case or otherwise finding a solution to the problem of the SHP (apparently) not taking a charge at all?
I then had a sick kid and needed to pickup a prescription and Walmart pharmacy decided an hour was needed, so we drove a shopping cart around and the satisfaction of seeing the TV's each turn off randomly on the back electronics wall was fantastic. I may have saved them $25 in electricity before they noticed and turned them back on again only for us to do another drive-by with our shopping cart. Anyway, my wish would be for it to be more compact and use CR2032 batteries or something. If you misplace the special USB adapter, it might be hard to replace. Anyway, I have a doctor apt. later today and I can't wait to turn off the endless repeating ads blaring on the wall in the waiting room.
