I'm a musician who plays clubs regularly where there's usually TV screens blaring away on some show or a game... Really distracting if you're trying to keep people's attention focused.
Every band member I play with who witnesses the power of this little gem of a device in action never fails to ask "Where do I get one?". I have given many of these as gifts.
One night I turned off 53 screens in one bar and the owner was starting to freak out until I told him what was up. This could be NEFARIOUS for say, an unscrupulous business owner who relies upon screens to sell drinks. Like game day.
But the upside was when I shut off 53 screens, the bar all of a sudden became filled with chatter and people were talking to each other and having a good time, with no screens.

Turn off the television! The power is in your hands!
Use it Anywhere There’s a TV:
- The office
- At your friend’s house
- Fun at parties
- In a restaurant or bar
- Laundromats
- In school
Using the TV-B-Gone:
- Point it at a TV set.
- Press the button once (no need to hold the button down).
- Keep pointing it at the TV until the TV turns off (which may take up to 69 seconds, but most TVs will respond within the first few seconds).
Features
- It may take up to 69 seconds for the television to turn off, but most TVs will turn off within the first few seconds. Although we tried our best to make your TV-B-Gone remote control turn off any and all TV’s, there may be some few that it won’t turn off.
- Instant Reactivation Feature: Allows you to press the button at any time to RESTART transmission of all of its infrared codes. Since the codes for the most popular TVs are closest to the beginning of the sequence, you can shut off more TVs faster, without waiting the full 69 seconds, as with the original version.
- Bigger Battery: Larger battery, allowing it to last even longer than the original model.
- Stealth Mode: If you don’t want the flashing LED on, simply double-click at the beginning of a new sequence. The small, clear emitter node at the front will not light up or glow – actually, it does light up with infra-red light but you can’t see it!
Two Versions:
- The North American/Asian model can be used to turn on and off virtually any television in US, Canada, Mexico and most Asian countries.
- The European model can be used to turn on and off virtually any model of TV in Europe. It also works well in Australia and New Zealand.

I go to a 24/7 gym at night. The place is empty, but each and every TV screen is on, dozens and dozens of them! TV-B-Gone to the rescue, double click ("stealth mode"), and in a few seconds I can finally exercise without feeling like I'm in a TV store!

I have another TV-B-GoneI that bought a few years ago and it's range is only around six feet.
This new one will shut off the omnipresent enemy propaganda at work from over twenty feet away !

Okay, so it doesn’t work on every television, but it’s also not very expensive— what can you expect? When it does work, however, it can be a lot of fun. A story from some years ago: There’s was a pizza shop that insisted on keeping the TV on no matter what, even (or especially) when it was clear that no one is interested. I mean, college golf on the local channel? But the owners policy was “If they’re watching TV, they’re eating; if they’re talking, they aren’t eating.” So when the TV mysteriously shuts itself off, no one is bothered... until one of the staff notices (they can’t see it from the counter), and climbs up on a chair to turn it back on. A few minutes later, it mysteriously shuts itself off again. It’s noticed, the guy starts to climb up on the chair, and it turns itself back on. He gets down, it goes off. Eventually he gives up, and we’re blessed with golf-less silence. [By that time, half the diners had picked up on what I was doing, and were highly amused. Apparently no one wants to watch college golf except the golfers’ moms, and they weren’t eating pizza.] The remote can be concealed in the palm of your hand, too.
It also works on Judge Judy in the doctor’s waiting room.

Initially when I received this I naturally had to try it on our 3 TVs in the house. I tried it on our (roughly 12-year-old) Sony Bravia and a newer (bought in early 2018) Vizio which were both off, assuming there was just one on/off toggle signal. The remote cycled through the signals and both TVs remained off. It did turn off an even older TV and, on a subsequent button press, turned it right back on.
Disappointed at this 1-for-3 trial run, I realized that I may have been making a bad assumption about one signal toggling the TVs on and off. I turned both the Sony and the Vizio on with their respective remotes, and sure enough the TV-B-Gone turned them right off almost immediately.
Batting 1.000 now instead of 0.333! I will be subtly experimenting with this remote in the future, and no longer assuming it will also turn TVs on. So much the better because my goal is to escape the ubiquitous blaring idiot boxes as much as possible, not turn 'em back on!

TVs in waiting rooms are so annoying. Whenever I've turned off a waiting room TV, everyone's face expresses relief.

So much fun. I take it to Costco or anywhere with a mass amount of tv's to mess with salesmen. Call me a jerk and I'll turn your tv off lol

I've had it for several weeks now and have used it about 10 times, always in doctor offices or fast food places. Only once has it not worked and I was sitting more than 20 feet away.
Now if I can get a button to stop the admins in the doc offices from turning the blaring monster back on life will be perfect.
Some folks have physical limitations that make sensory overload a real problem. TVs screaming at you all the time are ruinous for us. Nobody asked me if I wanted to be exposed, therefore I do not feel compelled to consult someone else with my "no, thank you."

Range is not as good as expected, and the delivery was done like after 50 days. Otherwise it is a very fun product and great to play with at sports bars.
