Tabakh Sev Sancha Sev Manual Pasta Maker, Stainless Steel

Product is very poor quality and certainly not stainless steel. Mine had black crud that I was unsuccessful at removing (see photos). There seems to be chrome plating, which indicates the metal might not even be steel as claimed. Avoid, and buy from an Indian store instead (these run around $12, and you can actually inspect one before purchasing).

It is made of paper thin steel with brass coating. Don’t waste time and energy on this cheap quality product. This is not even worth for free.
Received Broken item (cylinder) so you can imagine quality. After wasting time and money on online purchase, finally got better quality at local Indian store at much lesser price.

It's been two days. I am out of strength trying to get the top to unscrew. My family tried too. It's stuck and that's not how it is designed to be either. The edges where the bottom discs are inserted also has a screw-on lid where is very sharp. The rating lost a star from my original 3-stars because, obviously, a quality check should have been done before selling the item.

The 'brass' one came with a proposition 65 warning (Cancer warning required by California law) and I am not sure what part of this item would carry such a warning. It is hard to tell if this is brass plated or if it is all brass. No details given and it came in a clear plastic bag with no information.
It does smell like brass and I had dark dust on my hands after touching this. My attempts to unscrew the top have failed so far. It is shut tight although the bottom came off easily.
Out of the accompanying discs, I was really happy to find one that has really fine holes that are ideal for Sri Lankan-style string hoppers or very fine noodles, which I didn't have in a similar set that I owned previously.
Overall, I am satisfied so far. But I have yet to use it, wash it, dry it and the performance over time and how it keeps will further determine the star rating.

Could not even try. The minute I was ready to fry the snack I try to use little oil inside and the edges were so sharp like knife had a deep cut in between my fingers and was bleeding so bad all over my kitchen floor took 10 to 15 minutes to stop the bleeding and was afraid I need to see the doctor. The pain and healing took more than a week.

MAY BE THE ONE i ORDERED WAS DEFECTIVE.

I was so surprised a Stainless steep will be so sharp. I had couple of small and one big one, but lost one disk (good big holes) and other ones the holes for the disks were small. That was the reason I ordered. Very Disappointed & Returned.

Good product. As mentioned in other reviews, it has rough edges and rusts easily if not promptly dried.

At the time of purchase, I noticed that this is the only muruku maker available online with reasonable reviews.

So far works well with proper usage. I make idiyappam, muruku and all other Indian snacks with this tool and it helps a lot.
