Speaking of growth, I was so happy to see Dani realize her worth, both personally and professionally. I've felt all along like she thought she wasn't deserving of Rand. But she never tried to change into what she thought he needed, instead continuing to do her, so to speak. She was there for him when he needed her, but she also knew when to step back and let him figure things out for himself. And also got Freya to see how she was enabling him.
Great series. I love a good falling in love story, but it was nice that this series allowed us to see the challenges that couples face as the relationship progresses. Well done, Nia Forrester!
Hopefully SJ continued on the path of valuing the woman that he loved. This particular book should be read by "Ballers" I believe that the majority of them need counselling or a life coach. The truth that Nia revealed were that the majority of these young men, especially Black, come from homes with low amounts of resources. They are then overwhelmed by being thrown into having unlimited resources and many make poor choices. Yeah, they need more guidance.
I hate that they didn't get married and have babies of their own before it ended. I'd like to know what Rocket's treatment plan was.
Nia Forrester brought a thought provoking story-a full of heart, challenging, drama filled story to a triumphant finale.
Life. That's what she wrote about. Growing up and fighting it all the way! Wanting and needing Love, but damn it! As an adult, NOT always wanting to work for it.
Boy, oh boy! Did these two GO THROUGH IT. So much so, I was worried what was going to happen. Sure I hoped for a "happy ending." But honestly with Ms. Forrester, you never know.
You know that you will have to work for it! And, did these two (and me) work? Yup. My feelings and emotions were ALL over the place! Whew! I wanted to lay on the floor and cry WITH Little Rocket!
Great love and life story! As always, ALWAYS! Wow! You never, ever disappoint Ms. Forrester!
