I gotta say I was skeptical before buying as it was refurbished, but I am so happy I made the decision to finally purchase this bundle.

If it helps anyone, it didn't have either google play or youtube (and a bunch of other apps I did not care about too much) when I first started it, and it rebooted itself 3 times, and I was getting ready to email the seller to send me a return label. But after the last reboot, I went to the apps section and there were a lot more apps this time including google play and youtube. Also, I should mention that there was a pending update available before, which was not there any more. I guess, that update was needed for those apps.

I am keeping an eye on it since then and no more reboots, yay!

I asked the seller a couple of questions (see the question answer section) before buying and the seller said these units were essentially new, and so far I haven't found a difference between this and a new unit functionally or cosmetically. I have yet to open the n2A card and the card reader, but the cover is pretty and of quality.

I will update my review if I find any flaw, but so far I find this tablet, well, the bundle deal, flawless!

This HighDef 9" tablet even at new retail price, IS A STEAL.
Compare the other tablets in the same price range - they are almost all 7" (Nook HD+ is 9"), or only have 512mb ram - and let me tell you, RAM is one of the most important things for running apps without all the stalling or hanging. And this has a FULL High Def screen. And it is built SOLIDLY. No plastic cheapy feel here.

The ONLY drawback, for some, would be a lack of cameras, but for many of us, our phones are quite sufficient for that.
And protect the cable with your life - it is proprietary so the one in the box is your lifeline to awesomeness.
I'm about to order a spare, just to be sure - about $15 for the cable right now - if Nook sales take off (and with a deal like this, they SHOULD), that price should come down. (We shall see)

Other equivalent tablets with this kind of hardware run about $100 more.

With the deal BlueProton is giving, you are straight up double-dipping into AWESOME. The Cyanogen Mod on the INCLUDED 16gb Class 10 MicroSD card booted flawlessly and let me wander about the net in base Android 4.2.2 without a hitch. Yes, I was up and playing Candy Crush in mere minutes, and then loaded a number of books to view the pages - I purchased this as a means to replace all my lyrics/cheat sheets for my music performing.

That highdef screen is ridiculously crisp.

The deal from BlueProton gets you the Nook HD+ - certified pre-owned. It looks, quite literally, brand spanking new.
A micro sd reader and adapter. Nice - got a few, but extras are always accepted. A microsd to usb adapter. That's sweet.
The BOOTABLE 16gb microsd with CyanogenMod10. Awesome.
And a folio cover... which, well...
it's functional and very sturdy, but... I wish I could have picked out a different style.

I purchased this device in November 2013 but when I tried to install the Micro SD card it did not click into place. I tried several times but it did not install. I went on the Blue Proton web site customer service to report the problem I was having.I finally received a reply almost two week later. They requested I send the SD Card which I did in a letter their is no acknolodgement that it was received even though I sent them a copy of the letter. The installation of SD card allows the android application to function. To date they have not replaced the SD card nor have they responded to my request to replace it. Why do I have to spend so much time to replace a defective item ? Blue Proton deserves a low rating for not responding to consumer's complaints promptly. I do not recommend them as a outfit to purchase from if this the way they treat their customers.

I bought this a year ago today, i wanted to really test it first before reviewing it. Love the screen, quality is amazing, it does freezes and randomly reboots (which i will be fixing by rooting it directly instead of using the very efective card provided by the seller), the cover is good but it gets dirty easyly since it's white. Overall i don't regret my desicion and will absolutely do it again if i had the chance, i did have an issue with the seller that did not include the receipt on the package and my courier refused to deliver it (i live outside the united states) other than that everything went as expected.

*DEC 2015 Update:
Dropped the charger and now it does not charge, tried with another adapter, still nothing, do I regret my purchase absolutely no! Still happy :)

The HD display looked good and worked fairly well outdoors. I turned up the brightness to help outside and within 20 minutes at 95F in the shade it overheated. A triangle with a red snake like symbol came up. I could power cycle it and get back up but it quickly overheated again. I searched the web and easily found others with this problem. Another here with a smaller Nook color hasn't had this problem. I could have exchanged it but it wasn't worth the risk and longer wait to my address. Hopefully a refund is forthcoming.
