I have already tested the DVR and worked flawless.
Positives:
- works as advertise.
- for the trial period you don't need to create an account or use a credit card. Even though I will subscribe since the service is pretty good.
- The 14 day guide downloaded pretty fast (around 5 to 10 minutes)
What need improvement (this is why not 5 stars):
- the sound is not multi-channel. And not that great. I have the app running on an Apple TV on the main room. FireTv on the other 2 as i mentioned.
- changing channels need improvement. And buffers before starting showing, but not as bad as I thought from other reviews.
Still need to test:
- connect another external HD. Buying one today. Let's see how it goes
- Set it up to watch when I am traveling. It says you can access while out of your home network. Haven't tried it yet.
- I have not need to access customer support, so I can't rate the services. But everything working and no need to. So positive here so far.
All in all this is a great device and the User Interface better than I was expecting. I hope TabloTV keep updating firmware to improve sound for example.
For premium channels I sign up for SlingTV and HBO NOW. paying less than what I did with Directv and no contract.
UPDATE (09/15/18)
Added the HDD. I was not able to format the HDD following instructions. Keep in mind I added it after the Tablo was already set up. Call customer service. I was 4th in line, a technician helped to format it and in a few minutes I was ready to go.
Tablo just rolled an update which allows you to change channels while watching. Not the most elegant solution but I am really pleased. For customer service and the new update I am changing my rate to 5 stars.
So the first day I waited on hold about 15 minutes and got a support rep on the line. He had some suggestions, which he said he would email to me within five minutes. The email actually arrived mid-morning the next day. So I scrambled to get home in time to try the suggestions, which didn't work, so again it's going to be the next day before I get a response. I didn't want to spend any more days working on the problem, so I just returned the unit.
So maybe I got a bad one, it happens. I tried again. This one worked, for about five days. Then I got "Error: Weak Signal" on all channels. The same antenna feed, plugged into the TV, showed strong reception. Back to customer support. I got an email response with a suggestion. Again I rushed home to try the remedy, and emailed back. Then it was the weekend. The next Monday, no response to my reply. Returning second Tablo Dual, but will not try again this time. I've got a $25 box that works as an over-the-air DVR. It isn't fancy, it doesn't name recordings or have a week-long program guide, but I plug it in and it works. Unlike the $200 Tablo.
My experience made it clear to me that this company is committed to supporting its products only as long as it is convenient for them, not for the customer. Such an approach to customer service, to me, is practically no customer service. A company that wants to sell products in many different time zones should have hours that support those customers. People have busy lives and shouldn't have to wait multiple days to resolve issues with a malfunctioning product. Likewise, I don't want to spend annual leave time from work to resolve those issues because the company's support is only available eight hours a day, Eastern time, Monday through Friday.
Each Tablo I got had a note in the box saying "Do not return this product to store!" and telling you to contact customer support. Yeah, right. If a Tablo doesn't work right out of the box, I would suggest returning it without a second thought.

From the easy setup to the exceptionally designed user interface and iOS application, this has truly changed our ability to watch OTA TV when we want and where we want.
Kudos to Ottawa, Canada based tech company Nuvyyo on an excellent product!
Tablo do improve with what seems to be regular updates.
