Color: fluorescent yellow
These are the best types of balls. I play professionally, on the beach, with coed league and we used it everyday for every practice and game. Then I use it at parties and on the weekends when we play on the grass and on cement as well. It has made it through so much play and is still standing in great shape. This is the best color to get, as it's really bright and especially great to use at night. It's not too hard or too soft when it comes, it was just perfect. I am really glad I purchase this volleyball - especially this color.

Summary:
-seams are raised which RUIN this ball
-material feels decent
-do yourself a favor and get the Wilson AVP ball

I bought this ball for a co-ed intermediate outdoor volleyball league. I wanted a ball that was good quality that also looked good and had a great ball feel. My search boiled down to this ball and the Wilson AVP ball. I heard good things from one of the girls on the team that this was an excellent brand, so I decided to save a little money and go with this ball.

This ball is a MISTAKE. Spend the extra money for the Wilson AVP ball... here's why.

In our volleyball league, after the pre-game warm-up, we decide which ball feels better, and the decision is made about which ball we should use. My team already hates this ball, but once the other team feels it, they throw it back and tell us we'll be using their ball (of course). What does every other team in our league use (and they feel fantastic)? A Wilson AVP ball... every single one of them. Just don't turn into a sucker like me and end up owning both this ball and the Wilson AVP ball later, after you're resenting yourself for trying to save a few bucks.

I wasn't sure about what the colors would do to the game, but it works great especially in the late afternoon and early evenings when the shadows start creeping across the court. I believe the best way to decide whether a VB is good or not, is to observe which ball the other players want to use when there is a choice. So far, we always grab this one out of the pile.

I hate writing negative reviews, but I think it's important that others don't experience what I did. I purchased this beach volleyball to play in Central Park in NYC this weekend. I asked that it be delivered to a nearby UPS Store here in New Jersey. Once I picked it up, brought it back to my room and inflated it, I found that one of the seams leaked air. I purchased it brand-new. I tried to return the ball, but because Amazon doesn't handle returns for this particular seller, I have to wait until my return request is processed (it's almost instant via Amazon.com). To be honest, I'm disappointed. I read reviews mentioning that this particular ball (the VB7500) leaked, but I chose to ignore them because years ago, I played indoor regularly and Tachikara made some of the best volleyballs in the sport. Like Molten, it's a brand I utterly trusted. I guess things have changed. Hopefully, if you decide to purchase this ball, it won't be defective; however, you should know that the other reviews mentioning leaks unfortunately aren't complete anomalies. This is not to bash Tachikara, but their brand carries with it high expectations (at least with me) and frankly, I don't think this ball is worthy of the name.

Update August 20, 2015: I received a new non-leaking volleyball from Tachikara after I returned the defective ball. I didn't ask for it; it was given gratis. In light of that, my initial review seems excessively harsh. I already have an outdoor volleyball, but it's nice to have the Tachikara just in case. It seems like a solid outdoor volleyball. Four stars.

I've been trying to find a decent quality ball that didn't break the bank for years. My dog is obsessed with large balls and over the years I've tried different types from basketballs to nerf balls. Volleyballs seem to be the best mix of softness, longevity, and price. This ball seems to be well made for outdoor use. The price can vary on here from $7 - $30 which is reasonable for a ball I use everyday for hours. The first ball lasted for about five months. Most dog toys are quite expensive and last a very short amount of time. Even at $30 that breaks down to only $6 a month for a toy that gets heavy daily use. I think that's a steal.

We have had this ball for 2 weeks now. The texture is nice and tacky but a bit stiff. The panels are a bit flat and the seams are raised more than any other ball I have used. A good way to see this is to roll the ball across the floor and observe how it "bounces" a bit. Other balls roll without any noticeable bouncing. The raised seams require a player to pass the ball very deliberately, making very good contact with both forearms. I do not know if the ball will break in and become more round. Just be aware that when new, the seams are noticeably high.

Way overpriced and for what? I would say shop around or buy two crappier balls that will last you longer. This ball does not hold up well enough for 30 dollars, at least in my opinion. Feels good and came ready to go I just do not think they are made for any type of durability. I expected more
