There are two ways to light up darkness, the sun and the Vastfire 1000 lumen flashlight. I am pleased with the multi-functional design that allows me to use it as a serious flashlight or as an add-on to a piece of tactical gear. This transition is easy because it comes with an end cap button for regular use and an end cap with a switch that has both momentary and toggle on/off and velcro mount.
They thoughtfully designed the hard sided case with strap as well as providing an extra 18650 battery and wall charger. Even though this sounds like enough, and outside of the non-slip handle, my favorite piece in the box is the picatinny offset mount. That way I don’t have to move my scope or under rail gear.
Because the body is made from hard anodized aluminum, it’s both lightweight and durable. I also like the fact it offers IPX-5 water resistance with the O-ring seals. This ensures the scalloped head is snug and water doesn’t get in.
For the price, this flashlight is great for an introductory system.
