Tacx NEO 2T Direct Drive Smart Trainer BlackTacx NEO 2T Smart takes the pinnacle of indoor bike training and raises it even higher. With an improved design and revamped components, it provides even more immersive features, new pedal stroke analysis capabilities and even more improvements that make it one of the most quiet, realistic and accurate bike trainers available.Product Features:COMPLETE STILLNESS - Newly redesigned magnets make for a significant improvement in the stillness of the NEO 2T Smart. Any noise generated from internal air displacement is greatly reduced, as are vibrations that transfer to the floor at low cadence. The result is a smart trainer that’s quieter than ever.POWERFUL CLIMBS & SPRINTS - The NEO 2T Smart features a new motor design that improves ride feel during a climb or acceleration. The upgraded motor also delivers more power, allowing for higher resistance levels during sprints or at low speed.IMPROVED PEDAL STROKE ANALYSIS - While the NEO 2 Smart was equipped with a capacitive left and right detection sensor that accurately measured the exact position of both your legs, the NEO 2T Smart takes pedal stroke analysis to the next level. By adding ANT+ connectivity and cycling dynamics, you are now able to analyze your pedal stroke via third party software, including the software on Garmin Edge bike computers.AXLE DESIGN - The rear axle of the NEO 2T Smart is redesigned in order to make it compatible with more bikes, without the need for adapters. It is directly compatible with all bikes, only for 135x10 and 135x12 you’ll need an additional adapter.REALISTIC RIDE - The design of the NEO 2T Smart allows a few degrees of movement to the left and right while cycling. Its frame follows the natural course of your body, bringing you a certain freedom of movement that improves the cycling feeling. It also features dynamic inertia — which controls your mass inertia and compensates for weight, speed and angle of inclination — to make your ride fe

2- The website incorrectly claims that it can simulate downhill. Going downhill would mean that the wheel would turn if I stop pedaling, it does not.
3- It also seems that the power is not matched with my actual experiences. The power required for a 9-10% grade is lower than actual climbs and it is higher than actual for 3-4% climbs.
Connects with sensors quickly.
I love it!
I am using Zwift, which works very well with this trainer.
Only glitch is occasional drop in heart rate connection via Apple Watch. But this is not a trainer problem per se.
I love the ability of road texture feel, although it’s use in Zwift is only occasional.
The trainer is smooth and instantaneously responsive to changes in course slope.
Just make sure you research in advance and get the identical cassette on the trainer that your bike has.
You tube videos are a nice way to look at the various options to figure it which trainer is best for you, and how to set up after you buy.
It you’re installing your own cassette you’ll need the proper tools. And although the directions say a Shimano 11 speed cassette doesn’t require a spacer, some do. Like the one I use. Had an extra cassette but had misplaced the spacer that came with it. Bummer. But when I explained my dilemma to my local bike shop they sold me an extra they had for $1. Pays to also shop local at your local bike shop.
Greatly enjoying the trainer.
