full of wood splinter filler

This product did taste good due to the lime content but on chewing there were bits that were woody, like biting down on a piece if toothpick. Inspection showed little pale splinters throughout. They can be seen on the product photo on zoom, most obvious around the top. A call to the customer service rep on the label revealed that others had called to enquire and , the agent who was a lovely person, simply stated that they throw the whole plant into the grinder including some bark. This gives the mix a somewhat fluffy texture due to sawdust effect. Yes it's pure pepper plant but not pure dried pepper fruit, unlike the Frontier Mex seasoning or any other I have tried. I asked if the information would be passed on to the manufacturer but the response was that that's just how they make it. Too bad, could be a lovely spice. Historically, people have been intentionally harmed by bamboo splinters hidden in food. Not likely this is as serious but the gut is fragile and wood shards of any size should not be in the mix. My opinion.

What DOESN’T taste good with Tajin?

I absolutely fell in love with this product. I use it on so many things: apple slices, hard boiled eggs, watermelon, cottage cheese, salads, chicken, chicken salad, etc. The list goes on because this seasoning is so versatile. It’s NOT spicy hot. More tangy and salty. It reminds me a little of Pica Limon. First I bought the small container, then I bought the larger one, and now I’m a two-pack purchaser. If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the same boat. Wonder if they make it in a “handle” sized jug? I keep one at home, at work, and in my lunch bag!

Ingredients listed "sea salt", but tasted like regular salt to be honest and it was a bit too salty for me. Lime flavor is faint, barely noticed it since all I tasted was mostly "paprika". I couldn't tell if there was more than 1 spice due to the fact the base spice they use is paprika. It tasted a bit "barky" in a bad way.

Final verdict: It would be good to pair with cocktails or beers. For fruits..not as much cause it taste like any salt+spice mix I can make by myself in the pantry. I'm a bit disappointed though. It wasn't anything special since my friends bought it told me it was the "best" or "even better" to eat with fruits, but it really isn't. Besides fruits and alcohol, it can be used as a seasoning for seafood or chicken if you want a light zing to your food.

The one that I received was only spicy also it's full of wood splinter.
I never had Tajin of this low quality.

I see lots of good reviews so is it just me that received bad product ?

I had same brand Tajin before from local store and never had issues.
I want replacement or my money back.

My Mexican co-worker turned this stuff on to me and it is FABULOUS!! Soooo good on fruit! My favorite is pineapple, but it tastes good with so many others as well. It's also awesome on cucumber with lime juice, on popcorn, on corn on the cob.
The best part were finding it, since none of the stores around where I live don't carry it. Also, the price is unbeatable! The bottles are HUGE! It's definitely worth the purchase if you love your Tajin. I have one indesk at work, and one at home.

I first came to try Tajin when it was marketed by an offer through Blaze Pizza. The lime-chile flavor combination is classic, but it doesn’t go with everything; the citrus tang seems stronger than the heat of the chile, which is mild. I’ve enjoyed it on raw tomatoes, sprinkled over plain hummus on toast, on the rim of the occasional margarita glass or Bloody Mary, on a white sauce pizza or some chicken recipes. A little sprinkle adds a lot of flavor. It looks like they make a version with more heat, and I just wish it was available as readily as this version, instead of being some overpriced curiosity I have to scrounge for in the wilds of eBay.

Buying the 2 large bottles makes it very affordable - for me it was alot of the product so I shared a bottle with my daughter in law who also loves the taste. In this "stay at home world" we are living in I have learned different ways to shop. Our local market doesn't always offer everything for delivery - hence this spice.. So what I can't get in my local store Amazon has fulfilled that sort of need nicely.

This spice works very well on chicken and portobello mushrooms. Marinade your chicken breast with oil and these spices for a few hours and be blown away and how good your fajitas will turn out. Brush some oil onto your mushrooms and rub some of this spice on the tops before you BBQ them. They make incredible vegetarian fajitas.
If anyone remembers Chi Chis restaurants from back in the day, this is about as close as you can get to that fajita chicken.
The size of these bottles for the price is very good. I live in an area where this particular brand is hard to find so the price is excellent for the amount you get. Made in Mexico and nothing artificial.

Unfortunately, Toronto doesn’t carry these, but Walmart did for a bit before but now it’s completely sold out and hasn’t been restocked. It’s so good! I eat this with everything.
