I lived in Mexico City for a couple of years because of a work assignment, and one thing that I couldn't understand nor like was that people there normally sprinkles loads of Tajin to almost everything, from fruit, snacks and else. I did not like too much because felt that killed or overlapped the flavor of what you were eating, but reckon that for certain things it definitely complemented it.

This brings me to the reason I purchased it after years of avoiding it. Years after coming back from Mexico to my home country (other Latinamerican country), I was in at friends house and we were preparing to sit to do some binge watching in Netflix, and we were making some a huge load of popcorn, and her boyfriend took out a bootle of Tajin to sprinkle it over his popcorn bucket, and I was horrified... after some minutes of friendly debate I gave up and accepted to give it a try... My house TV watching changed jejeje... now I can not make a Popcorn without sprinkle it with Tajin... so there you go.

i love spicy, spicy hot food.

to me, tajin classic w/ lime has modest heat (many others will disagree) w/ pronounced hints of lime. (enough to make your teeth feel citrus-sore if you sprinkle it over a big bowl of hard, crunchy totopos chips.)

when cooking for a mixed crowd, i deliberately use less tajin & season up my own indivual portion during the eating. everyone is pleased.

when i cook for myself, i add & re-add tajin as the cook progresses to build the overall citrus-y heat. combines well w/ other peppers, too. you control the mix/net effect.

You have no idea how happy I am to have found this product!! Back in 2001 I lived in Honduras for 6 months and you could buy little bags of mango slices with this on it from the ladies on the chicken buses. I loved it SOOO MUCH but didn't know what the seasoning was. So when I got back to the US, I tried chili seasoning, I tried paprika, which were NOT the right taste, at all 😝. I was always sad I couldn't eat them anymore, and still thought about it fondly, even after 20 years.

Then recently I went to a restaurant that sold mangos on a stick with this seasoning. It was heaven in my mouth, and brought back some wonderful memories. I was so excited, thankfully they told me the name of the seasoning and I bought this bottle in my car in the parking lot before I even left LOL!

The bottle is large and will last awhile, even though I've been eating a bowl a day (sometimes more lol). I just buy large bags of frozen mango chunks, dump some in a bowl, and sprinkle this on top. The lid is a flip top so it's super easy to use. This product will now be a staple in my house for the rest of my life!!! Thank you for bringing back my joy for something that I thought was lost forever ❤️

Delicious Seasoning For Many Foods, Awesome On Boneless Pork Ribs!

I’m very pleased with Tajin’s chili & lime spice. I got Tajin because if it’s wholesome ingredients: chili peppers, salt and dehydrated lime juice. There is also a bit of silicon dioxide which functions as a desiccant to help prevent clumping. I’d tried a similar product that was about 5 times more expensive I was looking for a more affordable option and found Tajin and I’m very glad I did.

This simple spice is very tasty sprinkled on fruit (I like a light sprinkle on granny smith apple!) BUT really shines for me used liberally on boneless country style pork ribs that I cook in my George Foreman grill. The secret for me is rub them with Tajin and let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes and the flavor goes right into the ribs then put them on a really hot grill to sear in the flavor. Toss them into the George Foreman and 5 minutes later: YUM! It’s also very good on salmon in moderation (don’t overwhelm the taste).

This is not hot spicy to me. Maybe just a tiny bit, but just barely in my opinion. It taste that is dominant, not heat. And that is my preference.

Tajin has gotten me out of a food rut and excited about cooking again. That’s worth 5 start to me!

I'm not sure how I survived to the age I am without knowing about this product. A friend said I would most probably like it and they weren't wrong. At first I was sceptical about the 'zesty lime flavour' she described but sure enough, it is there in mouth watering quantities, the chilli is subtle (to me) but I have an asbestos mouth.

There's not anything I've tried that it doesn't go well with, fruit, meat, fish, rice, potatoes. Use it to salt the rim of your margaritas...thank me later!

Bought this because I love chilli of all kinds and lime is my favourite flavour. But this didn’t taste as I expected. It has a very mild heat and a mild acidity, but in terms of flavour, if anything it just tasted of something that’s gone way past its expiry date, i.e. like it had gone “off”. There was no expiry date on the bottle so I can’t tell if that was in fact the case or if it always tastes like that.

This is excellent as a marinade for fish. Dry the fillets, sprinkle on the Tajin on all sides and leave for an hour. Then you can either oven cook or fry. It lifts the flavour and cuts the oiliness down. Also good for squid or octopus.
I also add it to tomato sauce for pasta. Sweat garlic and shallots in olive oil, add liquidised fresh tomato, reduce by hLf then add Tajin and tomato paste. Makes a nice mellow puttanesca.

Firstly, I was put off by the plastic bottle container. Of course it can be decanted, but you know PLASTIC.
This sprinkled on food definitely livens it up. For my taste, it contains far too much salt.
It’s nothing that special….
I will use this and perhaps mix my own in the future, with less salt.
