All About Romance awards TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT a Desert Isle Keeper review. "All these (characters) are so authentically human they nearly walk off the page. If you like books where real people have real problems and find real love (while having really hot sex)? Pick up Take Me Home Tonight and enjoy the ride."
"TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT was simply put phenomenal. I loved the unusual plot, the amazing characters and the words that just seemed to flow seamlessly from beginning to end." - Guilty Pleasures Book Review
TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT "is emotional and tremendously sexy, with a large cast ofcharacters that readers will adore -- Kelly's rendering of Calix'sgrieving parents is particularly well-done -- but it is Mimi's strengththat will linger long after the finish." - Sarah MacLean, Washington Post --This text refers to the mass_market edition.

I really loved "Take Me Home Tonight", except for the 3 day "ear worm" it gave me. I ended up partially reading it twice. I can't tell you how engaging the characters are, main and secondary. The complex storyline makes it difficult to really want to slap the Hero upside the head as early as you want to. Also, Mimi's determination to work with her father is another case in which you want to shake her and tell her to wake up. But the complexity makes it so good and the intense attraction and wild and unfettered sex between the Hero and Heroine makes "Take Me Home Tonight" sooo good. Erika Kelly did an amazing job on this book and I want to read more of the Rock Star Romance series!!!

My favorite genre is also rock star romance, and this one had it all. I adore Calix and his whole family, and Mimi is a great character. I love the whole Blue Fire band and their ladies... I really can't wait for the next one to come out.

Except for the fact he is dealing with the loss of his brother, and a family he feels is falling apart. But one he is determined to save, even at the expense of himself, his career and Mimi. And as a chef for Blue Fire, Mimi is determined for more, and that means landing a job with her dad. He, however, keeps coming up with reasons as to why she is not ready. And is disapproving of her idea, to enter a cooking competition on national TV. To gain the experiences she believes her dad requires. This is when Calix dad Terrance steps in and suggests Calix help Mimi learn what she needs in order to win the competition, and hopes in doing so it will breath new life into his wife Jo. Who has completely withdrawn from her family since the death of her youngest child. Calix however, is torn but after three years of watching his mum struggle, Calix will do anything and as Mimi is drawn into the family, she can't help but become involved and becomes determined to get the whole family moving forward. Even if at times her suggestions are a little misguided.
And overall, I thought this was a great story, and the relationship that developed between Calix and Mimi was lovely to read. As well as being hot. But what I loved most was when things went wrong. Mimi did not forgive easily and she really made Calix work to prove he could change and would ultimately put her first. And for me it made the story much more believable and real, and in fact I did not want this story to end. And I'm sure I will be rereading this book a lot in the future; and I'm certainly looking forward to reading more from this series.
She's that warm, forward-moving, inspiring and loyal woman you instantly want to be, totally want to be friends with and who you instantly know deserves nothing less that bountiful love in return.
But does she fall for the guy who's ready to give her that? Uh, no.
Calix is an artist who should be revelling in his prime. A talented session musician destined for more, he is stuck in time, where he and his family only know loss. Haunted by loss and guilt, and fuelled by fear he lives to keep his family together.
Until he leaves a door open for Mimi, and she waltzes right on in!
So many issues addressed in Take Me Home Tonight, so beautifully crafted to give you a bit of everything.
Loved the passion Erika wrote for Mimi in everything she does! I was salivating for sweets the whole way through.
Love the unwavering beauty within the shattered yet loyal and loving family.
Thank you for writing Jo the way you did. Not sure why exactly but I seriously dug the way you wrote her grief: long, torturous, a grief so strong it withstood even the love and embrace of her family for so long, a grief that stole time, changed foundations and grew so big it rivalled the enormity of the love she had for her boy.
I felt like maybe, she had to grieve that big, because Hopper deserved it... I don't know, but I do know you wrote a thing of beauty, total beauty.
