The first chapter had so much potential but like a soda that's been left sitting in a bottle it fizzled out and became flat as a pancake.

I was so excited after reading the first chapter because Tristan was a breath of fresh air for my reading mind. His POV was honest, raw and correctly accurate for a male character which is not easy for female authors. Unfortunately I'm starting to assume the first chapter was written by an actual male and the rest was finished by the author because the there was a significant difference between Tristan's POV from chapter 1 to chapter 27 and not in a "character growth" kind of way either.

The story itself was actually interesting but the execution was done wrong. Zara's character was shallow and weak and I felt nothing towards her; no connection no feelings, I'm not even sure I liked her. I guess her character was suppose to be sassy/feisty yet she was real immature and bitchy. What she did to Tristan at the charity function was downright mean, I couldn't even call that scene funny or justified. Tristan did a complete 360 from his "rules" the moment he seen the beautiful girl which made the story feel rushed. Even the love making scenes were short and rushed. There was no real emotion between the two characters in the most intimate position. They fell in love and he took her virginity all before the 50% mark and thats when the story fizzled out and dragged and dragged. The author clearly ran out of inspiration because the last 10 chapters were seriously all about them not being together but wanting to be together. The amount of times they kept going back to each other just to talk and walk away from one another again was annoying and completely irrelevant.

Ugh !!! I so wanted to love this book.

S. Moose you have done it again! The story was an emotionally rollercoaster. You had me in tears one minute and crying the next. Treston and Zara were such an amazing couple. I had a love/hate relationship with Treston. Some of the things he did pissed me off but then there was the sweet side of him and what he went through that made me fall in love with his character. I'm glad he finally let Zara in and fight the demons of his past. Zara was such a strong person even though she had gone through her own struggles. She never gave up on him. She lives by the words Breathe. Live. Fly and that is definitely what her and Treston do! This was an amazing book and I recommend one clicking it! You won't be disappointed! Can't for S. Moose's next book. ❤

Most ridiculous storyline and cast of characters I've seen come through my reading list in a while. I actually read this whole book. Did not skip one word. I searched, hoped, wished, begged, hell I even said a small prayer that there would be something in the pages to warrant the money and time I wasted. I promise you you will find nothing but the weakest excuse for a storyline, characters, and reasons for angst and conflict you will probably ever read. I could leave spoilers, but I'm finished with giving this book any more of ME.

This book was very choppy. It jumped from day to day, week to week, even month to month in just a paragraph. It was hard to keep track of what was going on because of the lack of organization that might have helped you follow the story.

I also thought the two main characters, Zara and Treston, were ridiculous and unbelievable. They treated each other like crap, yet still loved each other. What?? He wouldn't share his past with her, she was pathetic and needy. They couldn't make up their minds about whether they should date or not. It was an all-around mess. What else? Oh yes! There's also these strange phone calls that are like an after-thought right at the end. Huh? That made no difference to the story line at all. Why was it in there?

That being said, I did finish the book, which is why it gets two stars instead of one. I guess I kept hoping it would improve. It showed promise, just wasn't worth the time or money in the end.

So not a sweet and easy romance...

Take Me Away deals with a broken messy person trying to exist in the world. Treston has robotic assh@le down to a science. You can blow him but that's it. He's not gonna talk to you, kiss you, or f@ck you- he will tell you himself.

Zara is trying to feel more. She tired of just being. She ends her relationship in hopes for more. She never expected more to be the meanwhile a-hole, Treston The King Parker.

What they never expected is becoming what they can't live without. Darkness and secrets prevail tearing them apart.

How do you live with love that you can't have?

The feels...Be ready to have your heart on the floor and a whole in your chest.

This is one of my favorite S. Moose books that I've ever read.
Treston Parker is a lacrosse player in college and after losing Emily he turns cold and avoids any relationships.
Zara Borzilleri is a female lacrosse player and breaks up with her boyfriend of 3 years, Jackson who transferred to Duke for her.
Treston is bound and determined not to let anyone in but Zara and his feelings for her give him a run for his money.

"You're the breath I need."
Breathe. Live. Fly.
"I'm able to let go of the weight holding me down and face life head on like I'm suppose to."

Treston you have to open up your heart if you're ever going to live again. You neck is going to get whiplash with all of the back and forth that Treston does throughout this story
