There are so many things to love about this story that I’m just going to make a list:
1. Uncle Dan Malone – nosy, matchmaker, dog lover, romantic, Army veteran
2. The Malone Brothers – all three are sexy, yummy, protective, and alpha
a. KC (Kevin Christopher) – oldest (35) – Navy SEAL (Team Six)
b. Brian – one year younger (34) – North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations officer, Air Force veteran
c. Sean – three years younger (32) – FBI officer in Tampa, FL, Army veteran
3. Maura (Moriah) Jensen – (27) – on the run, scared, smart
4. Romance – there is no slow build. It starts with a gun in the face and explodes from there. There is no denying the chemistry between KC and Maura.
5. Suspense – heart stopping, edge-of-your-seat, and perfectly executed
6. Jinx – loveable mutt
It’s no secret that I love Samantha Cole’s books. I only wish I had them all. I am looking forward to reading when KC’s brothers find their HEA and their uncle deserves a second HEA in his life. Heck, I even want Jinx to find a girl! I love happiness and Samantha Cole can deliver!
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

The action starts from the beginning as Moriah Jensen is on the run from mob members for stealing a duffel full of cash and a gun. She's managed to find a beach side house to rent for a while and lay low.
KC is a Navy SEAL just off a long assignment. He has a nice, long, R&R coming up and he wants to spend it at his Uncle Dan's beach house. He isn't prepared for the surprise waiting for him in the house.
KC and Moriah come together, and he offers to train her in self-defense and how to shoot. Moriah has told KC that she's fleeing from an abusive boyfriend, but he soon suspects there's something more. As roommates become lovers, Moriah has to decide whether to come clean or keep him safe by fleeing again. You'll want to grab a copy of Take the Money and Run to see what happens!
I loved this book! Definitely another for my keeper pile, and this author is on my automatic buy list for sure. She writes stories that keep you riveted from word one with yummy alpha heroes, sassy heroines, and exciting, sexy storylines that keep you from ever putting your e-reader down.
This is a 5 Orgasm Read
Naturally, he paid not spousal or child support. Moriah did what she could to help out around the house and got a part time job.
Her sister went wild instead, and wound up pregnant.
But that beautiful baby became the center of their world, and her sister got clean, worked part time, and built a life... until her drug use and connections with the wrong man brought it all crashing down again.
But this time, so much worse happened, and Moriah came home to find her family gone. Horribly dead, with the knowledge from a friend of her sister that the dealer the sister was involved with had one or more dirty cops involved in his operation.
Moriah faces a flight and a fight for her life.
The twists and turns she takes bring her to Dan, who offers a low rent price on his summer cottage.
Of course, Dan has a surprise in store - his Navy SEAL nephew is headed to the cottage for a month of leave, and some surprise match-making.
Tuns out, the Malone brothers with their military and law enforcement training and connections are a force to be reconned with.
Moriah has a chance at family, love and a new future - if she turns her heart and her new family.
Steamy and sweet story with bloody and intense edged police and military action.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
You get alpha older brother KC and his younger brothers Sean and Brian. You also get Uncle Dan who likes to play match maker. And a lovable dog named Jinx.
Put that together and you get a suspenseful, sexy, sometimes funny situations. Can KC and his brothers save Moriah? Will Uncle Dan succeed in getting KC and Moriah together?
Samantha A Cole does it again. Her characters come to life. I can't wait to see the next adventure one of those sexy Malone brothers get into.
Recommend anyone to check out this series and other works from this author.
Top international reviews
We start off by meeting Moriah Jensen who's on the run from crooked police officers who would betray her in a heartbeat and some nasty drug dealers. Moriah left Chicago after all her family were murdered. For the past four months she has not settled in one particular place instead she has been staying here there and everywhere to stay one step ahead of those who are after her. All Moriah has to her name is a duffel bag full of cash and a gun. She comes across a beach house that is currently up for rent and decides that she will stop there for a while as its the perfect place where she can she lay low for a while.
We meet Navy Seal KC Malone who's just finished on a long assignment and on a two week leave and decides to head to his Uncle Dan's beach house the last thing he expects to see is a beautiful woman pointing a gun at his chest.
With both KC and Moriah agreeing to be reluctant house mates KC makes most of the time and teaches Moriah how to defend herself as she has told KC that she is in hiding from a abusive ex boyfriend he also teaches how to shoot a gun properly.
Its not long before KC and Moriah become house mates and start to fall for one another. KC doesn't fully believe Moriah's story but accepts what she has told him. But its not long before the truth comes out and Moriah must decide whether to stay with the man that she loves that could put them both in danger or do what she has been doing all this time and keep running.
Marian and KC are well suited. I loved both of their characters and I'm glad they got the end they deserved. However, with all of Samantha's books you do get many twists and turns, which you sit hooked wondering how it's going to play out.
I look forward to reading book 2. But I do recommend this book to you all.
Navy Lieutenant KC Malone is at a crossroads in his life trying to figure out where he wants his career to go next. He has been a SEAL in Iraq but is pondering a life teaching new recruits instead as he is getting older. When he heads to the family beach house to think things over the last thing he is expecting is a roommate.
As Moriah and KC begin to foster a friendship the two also have a strong attraction to the other. But Moriah has secrets and is not wanting to let KC know the truth and why she is on the run. When the truth comes out will KC and his family be there for Moriah or will she find herself on the run again?
I really enjoyed this book and the relationship between Moriah and KC. I really did understand why Moriah never wanted to let KC know the truth of why she was on the run but I wish she had opened up to him when it was evident how much she cared about him. Moriah was scared and really didn't want anyone else getting hurt at her expense.
I loved Uncle Dan and how close he and the boys were. I liked how he could really tell how good a person was and his mixing it up to make sure everyone was happy. I'm hoping he gets some happily ever after!!
I have read the Trident Series by the author and loved them and was so glad that her great writing style continues with the series! Can't wait to see what's coming next!!
