I received this product free or at a discount in exchange for my fair and honest evaluation. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review for this product, nor am I receiving any type of compensation, or reward for doing so. Regardless of how much I pay for a product I will not give it a good review unless it deserves one. My review is solely based on my own personal experience with this product. I take writing these reviews very seriously because I know that like me others use the reviews to form an opinion about buying this product.
Take The Body...: demon fantasy - dark hero (Dark Gods & Tainted Souls Book 1)
DISCLAIMER: I am required to disclose that I received this product for free or at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The seller has had no influence upon my review and there were no requirements placed upon me in regards to the content of my review. The fact that a discount was provided did not alter, change, or effect my opinion of the product as I review a product based on whether I would be willing to purchase this product again, at full retail value.
RATING SYSTEM: Since I rate so many items on Amazon, I thought it might be nice to help a person understand how I determine how many stars an item should be rated at and what each star rating means.
5 Stars = I love this product and would gladly purchase it again if needed in the future.
4 Stars = It is a good product, but there are some minor issues.
3 Stars = The product is just okay and has some large issues.
2 Stars = Bad product with serious flaws and or design issues.
1 Stars = Would never buy again and would absolutely not recommend anyone else buy it.
I received this product at discount for my honest testing and review. I know that a lot of people dismiss reviews from people who get items discounted or free, but I am just as honest in a review that I got discounted as one that I did not. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review and receive no incentives or rewards for doing so. My aim is to highlight features and drawbacks that I would want to know about as a buyer, not hype the product for the manufacturer. My remarks are sincere and my own. While it is true that many items are received at discounted rates or complimentary, my reviews are completely honest and are my personal experiences with the product. Again, it is just my opinion, your own opinion might vary. I received no monetary compensation and I am not required to give a good review.
Mainly there were too many typographical and punctuation errors.
With that aside though, it was a refreshing change of pace from the "cookie cutter" stories that seem to be popping up all over the place.
Even with the poor, or should I go so far as to say, non-existent proof-reading and editing, it is still a series I wish to follow up on and see how the next chapter in the lives of the characters play out.
After all, able to absorb your victims thoughts, memories, and even skills is something that makes for a good read.
I just am hoping the other books in the series will get the editing they need to make is a easier read.
I have received a copy of this for free in exchange for my honest review.
I will only give a good review if the product deserves it and have no trouble giving a bad review if a product calls for it.
Any opinions are strictly mine and were not influenced in any way because of the cost.
One word of caution: The book does have graphic violence in it so young minds are best kept away from this book.
I hope the author will take his own advice and at least hire a proofreader because I'd love to buy the next volume.
I received this book for free from Amazon.com.
Top international reviews
I really tried to give this a viable 'go' because it was "recommended" by a friend... Honestly, I've read better fanfiction. Do yourself a favour, and avoid this pile of unapologetically awful wank.
The protagonist is utterly unlikable, he progresses in the story based almost entirely on the fact that he is awesome and generally lucks out all of the time. Scenes feel rushed, it's almost as if the author couldn't wait to get to the 'good' parts at the detriment to any character development or tension.
Oh and my friend can't get through it either... Why do I get the feeling the other reviews are from people who haven't read the book or are friends of the author?
Those are the writing skills I expect from crappy fanfiction, not something I paid actual money for.
Interesting story with a dark setting, ends on a cliff hanger.
