About the Author
Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of eleven children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, and New York before coming full circle and moving back to Rhode Island, where she lives with her husband and three children. Before turning her attention to writing, Ruth was an educator for twenty years, eleven of which she spent as a kindergarten teacher. She is the author of eight previous novels, including Bedding the Billionaire, which was a New York Times and USA Today bestseller. Taken Home is the third book in the Lone Star Burn series.

I’ve never read a bad Ruth Cardello story and this one it right there with the rest. It is a well-written story with lots of humor, sexiness, a strong hero and heroine that keep you turning page after page until the end. The story was strong and had some serious issues regarding trust, pain and hurt which are things that happen when relationships are new. I loved Thorne’s assistant, Millie! She was a hoot!!
Check out this hit by Ruth Cardello!
When Mason was introduced in Tycoon Takedown you see the larger than life playboy politician. He doesn't believe in love nor monogamy. Sex and love are manipulative emotions. This is what he believes until an adorable down to earth, full of spirit Texas gal crosses his path and his world of solitude change. Chelle and Mason both take journeys that will either make them or break them.
When you pick up a Ruth Cardello novel expect the three F's in a heartful love story:
I loved the first two stories in this series and Taken Home delivered what I know Ms. Cardello provides. The characters were nothing less than stellar, the scenes were both sexy and spicy. What I loved the most? Ms. Cardello shifted gears, and the one who really needs to be saved is not who you think it is. When you really think about it, Mason and Chelle are mismatched. Yet, that's what makes them perfect. Mason experiences and Chelle's passion makes things interesting.
Do I recommend this book? Yes. I also recommend the first two books in this series are read. A story with this many layers is more appreciated if you start from the beginning and get to meet the characters that eventually become supporting characters for the new ones that come along
