Perfect for brewing and serving your iced tea, this Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker Set features a brewing pitcher, along with a chilling pitcher. Both vessels have clear AcraGlass bodies that are BPA-free, as well as stain and odor proof. AcraGlass is lightweight and features glass-like clarity, yet is more durable than glass. The removable rotating lid-infuser on the brewing pitcher fully extracts the tea flavors while steeping, and makes clean-up easy. The airtight avocado colored twist-top lids lock in freshness, while the silicone soft grip handles, accented in an olive color, allow for easy pouring or transporting. Simply steep the tea in the small pitcher with built-in infuser, then transfer tea into the chilling pitcher filled with iced. Close lid tight, and gently shake. The chilling pitcher stores in fridge door or on its side. This Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker Set is great for brewing any type of tea.

Works with bags or loose tea
Easy to prepare tea
Tea tastes delicious and doesn't get cloudy
Tea ready to drink within a minute or two of filling the large pitcher
Minimal mess and easy clean up - dishwasher safe (I don't put the strainer in the dishwasher, though)
Not bulky like the electric ones - large pitcher fits in door of fridge and takes up little room, small pitcher takes up minimal space in cabinet
Lid screws on tightly to prevent leaks
I loathe avocado green and would have said the color was a negative prior to using it, but I love the product so much I don't care anymore
You will love this iced tea maker for the simple, clear (never cloudy) great tasting tea it will make!
This replaced for me a large beverage dispenser jug, and everything improved. The speed of making it--just using a small "concentrated" pitcher for brewing and transfer to the larger one is faster than getting a large jug-sized amount of water hot/boiling; the clean-up is easier even though it's two containers, because the larger jug was a pain to clean either in the dishwasher or by hand; and the best part is having cold ice tea immediately.
Also, the pitcher is handy, easy to pour and it's built great. The lid fits tight and it's easy to use.
Add to that I think the tea even tastes better!
This is a great product to make great iced tea.
I love that this is BPA-free plastic. I do have to wash the larger pitcher by hand because it is rather tall and doesn't fit in the dishwasher. I generally wash the small pitcher by hand, as well.
Because the large pitcher is very tall (I'd estimate 18 inches, at least), you may have trouble finding a place for it in your refrigerator. I happen to have the shelves in my refrigerator door rather widely spaced, so it fits there (the footprint is small). But you may have to do some rearranging.
One small note: the instructions say to use either eight tea bags or eight tablespoons of loose tea. A tea bag contains about a teaspoon of tea, though, so I am wondering if there wasn't a typo and they meant eight teaspoons of loose tea? I'll be going through loose tea rather fast if I use eight tablespoons (which is a half cup), although it *does* fit in the infuser. At any rate, amount of tea to brew may be a matter of personal choice in terms of strength, anyway, so feel free to alter the amount to suit your own preferences.
A couple of thoughts: 1) If you let the tea steep for a half-hour or so, it makes a great concentrate. When I fill my cup, I only fill it half-way and then add water for the rest; 2) It seems the ice scratches the inside of the large pitcher, which is sort of unsightly but doesn't affect the tea quality at all.
