Faith finds herself snuggled in with a man, a real man. Slowly she realizes that she might have gotten a lot drunk and very uninhibited when she sees a wedding ring on her hand, a wedding gown on the balcony and a body that reminds her it was a very good honeymoon. Except, she absolutely could not have done this, right? Time to exit stage left. No more tequila, EVER! But mercy, the man in her bed is mouthwatering!
Titan is a very diverse man. His nicknames (Big Daddy and C.T.) open up your imagination. He awakens to an empty hotel room, a wedding band, memories of scorching sex and a marriage certificate. Funny thing is, no bride. This was not what he bargained for. He has previous arrangements made. And so begins the hunt for his missing wife. She must have fallen and hit her head because no healthy, sane woman would have left Titan. NOPE!
Titan is able to finally track down his missing wife. Which was necessary since he was engaged…to someone else. But there’s just something about his wife that makes him wonder…dangerous territory but he wonders. No more tequila…EVER! They seem perfectly incompatible yet fit perfectly together. But life has other plans for this very unique couple. An ending and a beginning but no middle.
We all know that Titan is one heck of a man and Faith is more than capable of holding her own but the supporting characters make this story downright phenomenal. Let’s start with the old pervert Leroy. He’s a bit shady but with some butt cheek squeezing and “trouser snake” comparing, he’s good for an abundance of laughs. And my favorite, the woman I need as my BFF, Aunt Ida Sue (how much of Ida Sue is hiding inside Jordan Marie…hmmmm?) . This woman is everything. She secretly crushes on Titan and doesn’t hide it from anyone, not even her man. And after listening to her comparison of Titan and Cocoa Puffs, I’d have to slurp and devour the entire box. And Ida Sue’s pet, Hamburger…yeah you gotta read about that one. And make a mental note of how to handle a sexy repairman.
Jordan Marie has delivered an incredible storyline. Episodes of epic proportions, two very different people, and a single turn of events that lead to a what if, maybe, can we, it won’t work situation. I genuinely laughed, felt the harsh sting of unfiltered words and secretly prayed that something would stop the downward spiral of events. As Faith once said…”Not today Satan”.
This is story that will capture a reader, lead you to other stories by this very talented author and leave your heart smiling. You need this story!
I happily, voluntarily received this ARC. This is an honest, personal Review.
Faith and Titan wake to find they didn't exactly make sensible choices the previous night and are left with consequences!
The Lucas family is a zany one and Faith is one example of it but her Aunt Ida Sue is the icing on the zany cake, she is a crack up! Titan is a great character too and what a hunk!
The humour is terrific and there is a touch of drama to liven things up. The story is told from both lead character's points of view, giving us insight into who they are, how they think and reasoning behind why they do things.
Jordan Marie really knows how to clearly describe both her characters and scenes, making you feel a part of the story. She is an expert writing love scenes both physical and spiritual.
I totally recommend this great book.
The next morning Faith takes off leaving Titan asleep in the hotel bed. Titan is a pro football player who was about to enter into a marriage of convenience to allow him to become the GM of the football team. The owner’s daughter wants control of her trust fund and getting married is the only way. So it was a good situation for both except his marriage to Faith just threw a huge wrench into his plans. So first he has to find his runaway bride.
I love this series with the crazy Aunt Ida Sue, her pet cow Hamburger and the handsome Lucas brothers. I laughed so hard in this book and could not put the book down! I love Jordan Marie and highly recommend this book!
Keep bringing us joy through your words Jordan!!!
