Faith finds herself snuggled in with a man, a real man. Slowly she realizes that she might have gotten a lot drunk and very uninhibited when she sees a wedding ring on her hand, a wedding gown on the balcony and a body that reminds her it was a very good honeymoon. Except, she absolutely could not have done this, right? Time to exit stage left. No more tequila, EVER! But mercy, the man in her bed is mouthwatering!
Titan is a very diverse man. His nicknames (Big Daddy and C.T.) open up your imagination. He awakens to an empty hotel room, a wedding band, memories of scorching sex and a marriage certificate. Funny thing is, no bride. This was not what he bargained for. He has previous arrangements made. And so begins the hunt for his missing wife. She must have fallen and hit her head because no healthy, sane woman would have left Titan. NOPE!
Titan is able to finally track down his missing wife. Which was necessary since he was engaged…to someone else. But there’s just something about his wife that makes him wonder…dangerous territory but he wonders. No more tequila…EVER! They seem perfectly incompatible yet fit perfectly together. But life has other plans for this very unique couple. An ending and a beginning but no middle.
We all know that Titan is one heck of a man and Faith is more than capable of holding her own but the supporting characters make this story downright phenomenal. Let’s start with the old pervert Leroy. He’s a bit shady but with some butt cheek squeezing and “trouser snake” comparing, he’s good for an abundance of laughs. And my favorite, the woman I need as my BFF, Aunt Ida Sue (how much of Ida Sue is hiding inside Jordan Marie…hmmmm?) . This woman is everything. She secretly crushes on Titan and doesn’t hide it from anyone, not even her man. And after listening to her comparison of Titan and Cocoa Puffs, I’d have to slurp and devour the entire box. And Ida Sue’s pet, Hamburger…yeah you gotta read about that one. And make a mental note of how to handle a sexy repairman.
Jordan Marie has delivered an incredible storyline. Episodes of epic proportions, two very different people, and a single turn of events that lead to a what if, maybe, can we, it won’t work situation. I genuinely laughed, felt the harsh sting of unfiltered words and secretly prayed that something would stop the downward spiral of events. As Faith once said…”Not today Satan”.
This is story that will capture a reader, lead you to other stories by this very talented author and leave your heart smiling. You need this story!
I happily, voluntarily received this ARC. This is an honest, personal Review.
Even though the books in this series are all, technically, standalones, reading them all not only is entertaining, but they give you history of the supporting characters. Plus the characters of The LUCAS BROTHERS Series (the Crayon Brothers) crossover to this series, and if you haven’t read that series, you really are missing out, because that can only mean you don’t really know Ida Sue!!!, ❤️🌼🔥
TITAN is the perfect name for a BIG (and I’m talking HUGE in every way), gorgeous, ex-pro football playing Greek god of a man, and, after a wild, drunken night in Las Vegas, he wakes up married to a stranger, who has run, and he doesn’t know how to find her....Everyone but them know they belong together....And who doesn’t get a shiver from “I love your body, light to my dark, smooth to my rough, soft to my hard.”? I love this couple, and I love Ida Sue, because we always know that any book in which she and her family appear, it’s going to be a good book...and a fun book..Jordan Marie has done it again....❤️🌼🔥
I've loved all the books in this series of romcoms, a spin-off of her Lucas Brothers romcom series, but Taking It Slow has been my favorite. Titan and Faith were absolutely hilarious!! I loved Faith's coin-flipping, sassy brand of crazy, and there was a lot - a whole lot - to love about Titan. Taking It Slow was sweet and romantic, very sexy, and the humor was well timed and had me laughing audibly often. Cover-to-cover, Taking It Slow by Jordan Marie was an absolute pleasure to read! Five stars from me!
