Gabe thinks he knows what is best for Callie, and runs her away with a mistruth, then regrets it.
This quick, short story has a reformed bad boy falling for the BBW.
Finally, they do get together but Gave doesn't think he is "good enough" for Callie & will only hold her back in her modeling career. So, he breaks her heart instead.
I never did get the part of romance books where the guy breaks the woman's heart but thinks it's for the best. Why couldn't he just admit his concerns & talk to her about it?
There is really no "Taking What's Mine" when it comes to Gabe. At the end Callie had to be the one to man up & put herself back out there to even be with Gabe.
