After reading the product description and customer reviews, I decided to give The Talent a go.

It was a difficult book to put down; the plot moved fluidly but kept the story-line just out of arm's reach. The main character, like ourselves, has talents and flaws that allows the reader to engross themselves into the book with a connection.

Without hesitation I would recommend this book to a friend, and I would recommend that the author writes another novel soon.

i read this book in its rough draft and was impressed enough to anticipate its full final release. i was not disappointed!
there's enough background to the main character that you can begin to identify with him. i didn't just read the story, i was IN the story!
feel the sweat trickle down the side of your face? realize as you finish a 'chapter' that its ONLY a story and that you've not blinked for 20 minutes, and are thirsty as hell? that takes TALENT - and this book is loaded with it.
you want action? got it! suspense? yep! is this one of those 'can't stop reading'? uh-huh ~ oh and when WILL the sequel be done? Gimme more!

Pros:The plot line is interesting and characters consistent through the story.

Cons:Characters flat/not developed fully;the dialogue is inauthentic.

Action tale that is worth reading but I expect the next book by Boembeke will polish these areas and be a big hit

Gabriel's special talent is that he kills with ease. His life becomes a nightmare after a particular assassination b/c the people that hired him are trying dispose of him. Must agree with all of the other reviewers, fast-moving and exhilarating novel. Hope a sequel is in the works!

The plot was plausible but the ending left a lot to be desired. The characters were affable but two-dimensional at best. If you're looking for a fast paced shoot'em up then I would recommend,"The Talent." If you want something more then you're probably going to be disappointed.

The Talent starts out slow and builds up a head of steam. Making bad guys likable is a tough assignment especially with hit men and numbers like 45 and 60. Gabriel, Slide and Ryan find themselves in an unlikely team targeting the Boss. The ending is first class with action and twists a plenty.

Was surprised how much i liked this book, the characters were real and believable, the action was top notch. Unlike other thrillers this one was very plausible and exciting. Won't go wrong with this one.
