This book gives us the inside of what happened between Archer and Maura. And their love story was simply amazing. They are childhood sweethearts that never ended up getting married. We did have somewhat of an idea that Archer's father was just horrid however the depth is just astounding. I don't know why his father has such a big chip on his shoulder but it has affected Archer in many ways. The lost that he also suffered is just devastating.
I am glad this ended with Archer and Maura deciding to get married however the fact that they did not get married or are not married when we meet Archer initially it's just disheartening. The way this ended was a happy note however we do know that Archer's dad made him promise not to marry Maura and I would like to know how that got to that situation. How the hell did his dad end up ringing that promise on of Archer when his dad refuses to talk to him at the end of this book?
I cannot wait for Chasing the Legend which is supposed to be the sequel of Stacy Bennett's series. I hope we get to explore Archer and Maura's love story more. And also I hope we get to figure out what happened to Connor, Archer brother
