5.0 out of 5 stars Great book

I've recently started rereading 2000AD and this is a Judge Dredd classic - when I stopped reading in the early 90's it seemed to be a transitional time and the stories were pretty weak. This has a great plot and twist at the end, though I think i'd pretty much guessed what it was early on.

I'd just like to be able to have the other books that follow this story rather as part of 'Collected Judge Dredd'.

4.0 out of 5 stars superb but where's the end of the story?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 29, 2009
This is one of my all time favourite stories, not least because the reader didn't know who the Dead Man was until close to the end of the story. Can't remember if anything was done for Yassa in later progs though...

The only gripe I have is about the way Rebellion have sliced and diced the story. I already have Necropolis from a previous printing, but they've left the end of the Dead Man story line to vol 14 of the Collected Judge Dredd, so I'm now going to end up with another copy of Necropolis. Argh!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who is The Dead Man?

Classic 2000ad series which was a real shock when I originally read it over 20yrs ago! Still holds up to repeat reads - great B+W artwork which captures the tone of the story perfectly.

Buy it and enjoy the "reveal" of The Dead man's identity!

I remember reading this in 2000AD as a child and was thrilled when I came across the `Tales of the Dead Man.`

I really enjoyed reading this it has aged pretty well but felt let down at only getting half of the story included in this volume. Otherwise this is a great purchase.
