The main thing that you should know about the Tales of Titans books is that they truly bring history alive. If you are anything like me, you often think of the historical figures we are all familiar with and spins their stories in a way that makes it interesting, even for people who have a tough time "learning" through a traditional book. What I found so fascinating about this book is that there were still things that I didn't know about some of the people discussed here, even though I had gone through many college level history classes.
I can't wait to read more of DiSilvio's books, and I highly recommend this one if you are interested in history.
In this volume, which is a short, easy 3-hour read, figures covered range from Samuel Adams to FDR and Churchill, with George Washington, Harriet Tubman and many others included.
What strikes me most about DiSilvio’s writing is his efficient style. Face it, reading historical accounts can be dreadfully boring but he captivates the reader with rich content without the superfluous fluff found elsewhere while keeping the historical record accurate. I heartily recommend this book and the others that he has written.
