PreSchool-A delightfully positive story about sibling interactions. Max loves his new sister, but he wishes she could talk. As the year progresses, the boy plays with the baby and encourages her to make sounds. A fun, double-page spread featuring a series of flaps shows the child's development month by month as she gurgles and coos. Finally, after her first birthday, she says her first word, "Max," which should come as no surprise to readers. Colorful, cartoonlike artwork adds to the enjoyment of this simple story. A satisfying title that youngsters, especially those with new siblings, should appreciate.

My 2 year old son (with a baby brother due any minute) LOVES this book and the main character Max is a big brother that my son can relate to, and I am happy that he does. He demonstrates how an inquisitive older sibling can relate to a new baby without the type of parental input and assumptions that complicate things.
If you only decide to look at or buy one "sibling" themed book, I highly recommend this one.
