Talk Downunder is for hardcore Monkees fans only. Sound quality overall is excellent. The disc chronicles The Monkees visit to Australia. The TV show was done and Head was the big news. Stardom in the U.S. was beginning to fade. The release of "Head" wouldn't do anything but accelerate that. A quick tour of Australia to cash in on the mania before it faded was in order.
The Monkees hop from one Australian town to the next, accompanied by the press of the day. Some typical questions are asked, with the typical responses. Nothing in-depth is really covered. Somehow, Davy finds the time to grab a paycheck from a local diamond merchant. Maybe it was fun (and profitable) for him, but it's no fun for the listener.
Again, for the hardcore completist type fan ONLY.
