Whether or not you are a listener too Hugh's nationally-syndicated radio show, this book is an extension of his ability to ask questions and raise the level of discussion to another level. These transcripts from his interviews and debates among well-known personalities on both sides of the topic really brings to the fore the crucial issues of God and spirituality. Hugh has been fascinated with this discussion for years and it shows. You will enjoy the lively give and take and marvel at the civility something sorely lacking in our 24/7-shockjock culture!

I've found Hugh Hewitt's moderated debates both entertaining and very fair. Many of these I've heard on the air, but it was very enjoyable to read them in this ebook. I've learned a lot from listening to Hugh on the radio, and continued to learn from reading these debates.

One of the Amazon reviews mentioned how this book pushed Hugh's "agenda". I think this is unfair. Hugh is an unapologetic Christian (Presbyterian/Catholic I believe he refers to himself...), but extremely fair with both parties when moderating these debates. What's great about many of these debates is they are focused and condensed, which is a necessity when hosting these on a time constrained format like a radio show.

You'll be a better person by buying and reading this book! Whether your a pagan or a bible thumping Christian :)

Full disclosure, I'm a bible thumper...

As a Christian, I always enjoyed these types of debates in college and grad school. They helped me see my belief system from another's thoughtful perspective, challenged me to dig deeper into my faith in order to be able to answer the argument as thoughtfully as it was presented, and I grew in the process. Hugh Hewitt has pulled his debates into a book form in order for us to enjoy a ringside seat. Great job!

There were discussion questions at the end, but because this was electronic only, I had difficulty turning back to the "pages" the questions referred to. Overall, though, it was positive and thought provoking.
