The first chapter in the story was surprising, and drew me immediately in. It's not expected, but it definitely makes you wonder what happens next. Logan and Emily are two unique characters, with their sets of problems each - what is similar is that they both have demons from their past they need to overcome and they are stubbornly and beautifully proud of themselves and of what they know they could and can become. The differences are huge as well: while it appears that Emily has no one in the world who cares about her, Logan comes with a crowd of brothers who he wouldn't change for the world; her views of family are about to be changed and I enjoyed seeing it. The Reed Brothers, well, you don't want to miss these guys' stories!
Get swept off your feet into this amazing story. And while it does not end in a cliffhanger, it does require for you to read the second book to get the full, HEA story. But it's so worth it! Recommended NA romance.
Borrow or Buy: Buy (but wait until the next book in the series)

This book has great characters that stand out in the sea of similar stories available. When's the last time you read about a deaf alpha male? The author knows how to write a compelling story. I really loved how two versions are provided: a sexy one and a less steamy one. What a great idea! Please note that the 400+ pages includes both versions so the story is about 200+.
This story is a great mix of emotion and sexual chemistry. The hero and heroine do not jump immediately into bed which is refreshing - that is not to say that there are not hot scenes (version depending I'm guessing). It also contains some heavy issues but it doesn't go into soap opera territory. I read this book in one sitting and cared about the Reed family.
If I loved the characters and the story, why not 5 stars? I really hate cliffhanger endings. I understand a series means the story continues but the series is called Reed Brothers so I was hoping it was a complete story about one of them - it is not.
This book was worth the money and time spent reading it. However, I would recommend waiting for the next in this series before starting.
I liked this a lot but it did leave me with a couple of questions that maybe get resolved in other books. Great series though and I thought that Logan was inspiring, he is deaf but he works it and with Emily he is amazing. Checking out the other books.
Logan is tatted & tall and Kit is certainly tempting and their romance journey was passionate, heart warming and a true story of friendship. One of the best parts of this whole journey with them was that of the Reed family, these brothers were strong and united together, that is what makes me want to pick up all the other books in this series and read them. I want to learn more about this family and their history and hopefully see them all find their true love.
Logan and Kit both have obstacles to overcome in their daily lives, they trusted each other with their secrets and to see them bring each other out of their shells was really amazing. Kit has a lot of secrets that she eventually reveals at pivotal moments but I love how she just melded into the boys lives at a time when they obviously needed a female touch.
This is a easy read, lots of humour, secrets, romance, passion, forgiveness & healing.

I finally decided to read it this week and, man, was I surprised! I was drawn in from the very start and was almost late getting my kids to school that day because I didn't want to put it down. The story telling is compelling, the characters are likable and relatable, and the romance was steamy and sweet at the same time!
I really loved it, truly.
