“The process was logical. Every step built upon the previous and was always focused on the goal of us implementing what we had learned. The steps pushed where we needed pushing and left space where there was room for us to develop and pursue on our own."”
“I appreciate the extraordinary hard work, long hours, dedication to questions & answers provided for by our teacher. I realize that teaching humans can be exhausting & very time consuming, if done properly. To truly disciple people I need to have patience & resolve. As I read my bible these days, I realize that discipleship was the main goal of the characters actions in that book. We have changed the wording, instead of using the terms apprentice or passing the baton. None the less, as we pass on our knowledge & wisdom to our children, friends, employees, and congregation we must acknowledge our insignificant lives as an opportunity to grow disciples in any way possible.”
“I thought the process was great. Taking us through the material you were going to give and making us interact with it through the questions and assignments. I think that was most helpful. The Man Camp was good in that it showed how to use what we learned to be able to help others and lead others in a short time to go through the material. I can see how Questions and the home work are a good way to help others to come alongside and help in another conference.”
“The process was helpful and it was logical. If I had just read the book we used on authenticity, I know I would not have been able to grasp all the concepts or learn as much as I did through the mentoring process. Make no doubt that this was a very demanding, accelerated process. Having you mentoring me made me dig deeper and personalize what otherwise I might have side-stepped. Your questions and homework were good, and the phone calls were especially timely. I appreciated that I was going through it with a group of guys, because somehow that helped encourage me when it got tough. There wasn’t a strong sense of who the other guys were even with the Facebook page, but knowing they were walking the same path (that I was not alone) felt good.”
“It was very helpful, logical and well thought out and understandable. I was encouraged at the content and presentation of the materials. I appreciated the personal calls, the email encouragement, one lesson at a time, the constant reminder that where you were at in the lesson was fine. Encouragement without pushing.”
“I feel this process was helpful and definitely logical. I feel like it did guide me and enabled me to accomplish the task.”
