Oh my flipping God. That was the absolute worst love story I have ever read. It was a nightmare. It was depressing to read. Adam has to be the worst "book boyfriend" ever.

Some spoilers...

The book itself was not bad... I read it in one sitting. It is nothing like you have ever read before. It was heartbreaking for me. Amber is basically an insecure-and I'm sorry to say it-whore. She sleeps with a trillion men and all because she is too insecure to handle Adams issues. Adam treats her like complete crap! Wow!

When he says his speech, his mean speech (you will know when you read it), I was like wow screw that! I wanted Amber to walk away from that. Just because someone breaks your heart does not give you a free pass to be a completely heartless jerk. After his speech.. Two years pass and I'm hoping Amber becomes this big shot attorney (who stops sleeping around) and represents a bigger band suing Breaking the Hunger for copyright infringement... No she freaking continues to sleep around.

Then she gets pregnant and he suddenly loves her. Screw that!!! God this was a really miserable love story. Although I read it quick and couldn't put it down so that's saying something. The author is talented and the writing is good so I'm giving three stars for that. Plus the story is unique and more realistic than most. Adam IS an actual bad boy. He never stops and he never softens up.

I love this story of Amber and Adam. There were a lot of rough spots in there where you want strangle Adam for the way he acts and stuff he says but you can also feel his pain along w hers too. This isn't my favorite out of all 5 books because I'm still a HUGE Drake fan but this is a awesome end to this series. Very worth reading

The word whore is overly used, we get it, Amber sleeps around. There were times I really felt bad for Amber. Adams words and actions were cruel and she didn't deserve any of it. The last 20% was unbelievable, in a bad way. All of the sudden Adam's previous issues disappear, he accepts Amber and everyone skips into the sunset. No internal dialogue from Adam, giving us a clue as to how he had his big epiphany. Sorry, that is harder to swallow than my daily multi-vitamin. Now, as usual I shall jump on my soap box. The whore theme is SO hypocritical, men are worldly, experienced and/or misunderstood (they have deep seeded issues that cause them to sleep around. BS!) Some of the labels used, skanks, whores, sluts etc is our (women) fault, we need to stop using those terms to describe other women. Chloe and Amber greet each other that way when Amber makes her first trip to LA, Amber called Chloe a skank and Chloe calls Amber a Ho. I don't hear men greeting each other using similar terms. It is juvenile and boorish and the reason I have more male friends than female. Off soap box now. ;-)

K.A. Robinson completely snowed me as far as everything I thought I knew about Amber and Adam's relationship. To be completely honest...I really knew nothing except that they had slept together and that Amber was completely smitten with Adam. This book, even though I don't think K.A. Robinson meant to do this, did put me through an emotional wringer. I was able to relate to this story on so many levels it was not funny...well, minus the sleeping around part. This story explained exactly what did and didn't happen between Amber and Adam and leaves you without any doubts about what does or doesn't lie ahead. KA. Robinson did such a great job showing just how these two characters evolved and how their different experiences molded their lives and solidified the choices that they both made. I loved this book...BUT K.A. Robinson...I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ERIC!!!!!

I will start by saying I freakin LOVE K.A. Robinson!! This was my first time reading her work and I honestly couldn't think of one thing I'd change! After finishing this I bought the rest of the Torn series AND Shattered Ties series! I plan on getting the rest as soon as my book buying restriction is lifted :-) I don't think words can describe how much this book made me feel!

Tamed can be read as a standalone, however, I suggest starting from the begining of the series with Torn. I did NOT read the first ones, as I said this was my first of her books, but when I bought the others I realized it tells the story of the other characters in this book. BUT you will not miss a beat if you read Tamed first. One of the things I find awesome is that each characters story follows the same timeline but it's a whole other view on what's happening and someone else's life. It was so awesome how she tied them together but made them so different! That is how you know this really was her calling, simply breathtaking.

Tamed will take you on one hell of a ride! Amber and Alex's story has so many twists and turns it will give you whiplash. Just when you think you have it figured out, she throws you another curve ball. I loved that it kept me on my toes and my anxiety high going page by page. This is a book you won't be able to put down! I read it all in one sitting and finished well before bed but I couldn't start anything else with the hangover from this one! So that's when I started my stalking on K.A.!

Amber has her heart shattered just when she thought everything was perfect. College starts and she vows to never let another man have her heart. She has no problem until she meets Alex. What I loved most was that their relationship seemed genuine and believable.
