One of the best things about this book is that it helps you to understand tantrums from the child's point of view: it reviews some of the common "triggers" or environmental factors that can lead to tantrums, but it also sheds light on the developmental and emotional inner life of children.
Equally, the book instructs parents and caregivers on the best ways to respond, not the least of which is being in tune with their own emotions and modeling the behavior they want to see in their kids.
Compact enough to read in a short time but full to bursting with simple, do-able tips and insights, this book should be at the top of every parent's reading list for 2013!
