Yes, leaving the mystery of the stallions's theft unresolved may have been frustrating but it gives us something to look forward in the next book in the series. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone but the plot line works better as part of the whole series. There are many references that make more sense if you have read the other books. They are all wonderful!
Charlie is a great complex fellow of deep, hidden passions who wakes Charlotte from her books and studies. As someone who has had to deal with an unexpected injury, it reminded me of how lonely and frustrating it can be. So glad I had a Charlie of my own. Such a cute couple! Can't get enough of Sabre though ...
Though a little lighter on the Haberdashers involvement than previous novels, this book heralds the beginning of a new story arc in the Haberdasher series. Having read the first four novels and checking out the author's website BySueLondon@blogspot.com a few years ago, I can't wait to see how the next few books escalate. I want to find our what happens to the horse! Darned cliff-hanger makes me want to email Ms. London each week to find out what the characters are doing while I wait. The ending left my imagination (and worry) running. I am still waiting to see what happens with the Owlers too. Hope these books continue to come quickly.
Wondering if cable will pick this series up like Outlander and Game of Thrones? I would love to see the girls live and in person.
OH! More Sabre please!

I was very disappointed at this ending. Approaching annoyance I think. Cheated from a conclusion. Kindly deal with that please. Or is it a ploy to read the next book. If so no ploys were actually needed.
