This case has a Velcro flap opening (as opposed to a zipper opening) which I prefer, together with a belt loop & an extendable shoulder strap. It fits perfectly the Canon Powershot SX260 HS Canon PowerShot SX260 HS 12.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 20x Image Stabilized Zoom 28mm Wide-Angle Lens and 1080p Full-HD Video (Black). First I tried the Tamrac 3819 Case for this camera, but it was extremely tight. So I got the next size - the Tamrac 3821, & it fits perfectly. (It's available in 4 colors; black, red, green & rust). It also has a small pocket on the front, but make sure nothing falls out (as there is no fastening on the pocket, except the actual flap of the camera case).

Based on reviews, I decided to go with this inexpensive bag for my Canon PowerShot SX260. It works, but ends up bulky.

The bag flap secures with velcro, it comes with a strap (can be used for shoulder or belt), so it's a good bag, but I don't find it quite adequate for my needs. Basically, it fits the camera, and a memory stick, but that's it. I can shove a battery in there instead of a memory stick, but it bulges, and then of course I can't fit the memory stick in. Also, the little pocket the holds the extra piece (memory stick or whatever) ends up right on the spot where the camera lens is, and where the velcro is, making it extra bulky.

So it's not a bad case, it just doesn't work perfectly for what I need it for.

(I have the: Canon PowerShot SX260 HS 12.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 20x Image Stabilized Zoom 25mm Wide-Angle Lens and 1080p Full-HD Video.)

Update 07-2014:
So despite the above, and despite the strap breaking after about a year, this case has worked really well for me. Until now. I took my camera out on the beach (which I never do), leaned over to pick up a crab, and the case floated in the water for about 2 seconds. Obviously with a velcro top it's not secure, but I expected the rest of the case to repel water at least a little. No such luck. The case soaked through and took longer to dry than I or my clothes did. The camera got barely wet and I dried it immediately but it's not functioning... hoping I can repair it somehow.
Anyhow, I've never had this particular case in pouring rain or anything, and now I'm pretty confident it wouldn't hold up. I'll be looking for a new case.
Demoted to 3 stars.

After purchasing 2 or 3 other cases that didn't give inner dimensions or whose descriptions were wrong, this case finally gives my new Casio EX ZR850 a perfect fit. I like the strong Velcro closure flap because it's easy to get the camera out when you want a fast shot.

Bought this based on other reviews for new Canon SX260 (which is a great pocket camera). The pack is just the right size, had a plastic insert to protect the scene on the back of the camera. Comes with a shoulder strap and fits well on a belt. On the belt it's easy to open and take out the camera and then put it back. Good choice at a very reasonable price. Only drawback is while it has a sleeve for an extra memory card, it looks like the card could easily slip out.

For me it's a nice size. It protects my pocket camera well. Velcro type closure works well and keeps it securely closed. Not intended to hold many extras - fits camera and an extra Digital card - I also had a cleaning cloth I can tuck in to clean the lens if need. I have taken it on many trips, hiking, and traveling through crowed cities. Never have I had a single problem.

The belt strap is pretty wide and surely will fit on any belt. The only problem I have with it is- I wish it had a snap on the belt loop strap. As it is made I must take off my belt every time I would like to remove the case. I had an older model that had snap and I much prefer that - much easier to get on and off.

I have my iPhone 4 in an Otter Box. The belt clip that came with the case has a feature that keeps the clip open if you want to use it as a stand while you watch video. It fell off my belt when I was filling my car with gas at more than 20 below zero fahrenheit. The Tamrac has a belt loop out of elastic so it never falls off. It fits my iPhone 4 with room to spare while my phone is in its Otter Box. It is neoprene so the phone stays warm in cold temperatures. The velcro closure lasts about 2 years of constant use and then you just have to sew a new one on. It has a slick interior on one side so the screen side of the phone stays scratch free. The velcro closure keeps the phone in the case and is easy to open and close one handed. A great product with no zippers or snaps which can be too slow to use to get to important calls.

This is a nice camera bag.

It provides a decent amount of cushioning, it's easy to get my camera in/out of, and fits the Canon Powershot SX260 HS very well.

It's relatively inexpensive. Unfortunately mine came with a black mark on the orange part but it's not enough of a reason to return it.

Like the case; would buy it again.

I'm sooooo happy I purchased this case for my new camera (based on other people's reviews).
On my trip to Alaska, I slung it over my shoulder and easily whipped it out for a photo.
No more zipper cases for me!!
