I find myself gravitating towards grabbing this lens and usually keeping it in my bag or on my camera for a variety of photoshoots.
I do a lot of portraiture on-location, and the zoom allows me to quickly adjust in-camera versus cropping later.
Build quality:
Not overly heavy, has both manual zoom and a manual focus ring. Has a USB-C right on it to update the firmware directly versus through having the camera plugged in.
Autofocus:
It struggles a little in lower-light situations, or when there are foreground elements but in these artistic shots, you want to be manually focusing anyways.
Clarity/Sharpness:
For pixel peepers, you are going to run into some chromatic aberrations. This isn't going to be as crisp as a prime lens, either. However, for a zoom lens it does really well.
Weather seal:
Doesn't seem to have much in terms of a weather seal, I found some dust on my camera sensor after leaving this lens on the body for a couple of days.
Would I recommend this lens? Yes. This is a great lens especially for when you need to pack light, or can't bring a variety of prime lens. Being able to go from 28mm-70mm allows for a large range of different compositions you can create with a single lens. This is great for both landscapes, architecture, and portraits. For wildlife, I would probably recommend the 70-200mm lens instead.

Great buy
Might’ve been worth spending another $250 for the sigma art 24-70. This lens is fantastic though. Good on sharpness, not great if you’re pixel peeping. Colors are accurate. Distortion and vignetting aren’t too bad. Build quality seems fan. Happy with it for sure. If you’re posting to social media this will do the same exact thing the G-Master will. The focus might be a little slower but I haven’t had any focusing issues.

Pros:
- Versatility: cover the common focal lengths for various shooting scenarios
- Low Light: Amazing lowlight ability even in challenging lighting conditions
- Build quality: Plastic does not feel cheap.
- AF: Fast and accurate, reliable for nearly all types of situations
Cons:
- Zoom range limitation: cannot provide not telephoto or wide angle shots
- No Image Stabilization: lack of built-in stabilization may be a drawback for those without IBIS

The 28-75mm focal length is like a swiss army knife - perfect for everything from landscape to intimate portraits. It's become my go-to lens for everyday shooting, eliminating the need to constantly switch between different primes.
