If not for batteries, I would give it five stars. It does reduce the number of breakouts and makes the existing ones heal much faster. It is especially helpful for cysts, that are not affected by topical medications such as salicylic acid, sulfur and benzoyl peroxide, and for whiteheads. The only con is that it requires batteries replacement about every 50 uses. I bought a set of rechargeable batteries and it solved the problem.

My skin type: early twenties, moderate acne with occasional cysts.

I really like the Tanda zap. It appears to work after a few treatments. I had a few stubborn pimples that were taking forever to go away and when I used this product it helped to get rid of them after about a week of daily treatments. The downside is that is does suck batteries like crazy. But I found out by trying it that THE TRICK TO KEEPING YOUR BATTERIES LASTING LONGER is to take them completely out of the Tanda Zap when not using it and when you need to use it again for a treatment just put the batteries back in. It must continue to suck the battery life even when not being used if the batteries are in the product.

I find that these work half the time on the blemish. Not that it is the machine's fault, it is the blemish. Sometime it is just too cystic and nothing can be done. However, if you mane takin your cleansing routine, astringent and oil-free lotion, if you FEEL something starting to surface, start using immediately. I feel that is the way to get the best results. And there are best results.

At first I was skeptical if this would really work, but I am happy to announce that it did. I followed the directions to the letter and it actually worked. Stick with it as long as it doesn't cause irritation to your skin and it will work. I am 45 with acne prone skin and it has been such a great little device to help control my acne. So worth the price for clear skin. Very pleased.

I'm actually impressed. I thought for sure this would be snake oil, but when I use it 2 to 4 times a day when I'm getting one of those deep, under the surface, painful zits, it seems to actually reduce the amount of swelling I usually get and makes the blemish go away faster than normal. I don't usually notice a difference the first day, but by the second day of using it, it really seems to have relieved the inflammation and redness. Just remember, this is not for people who have that kind of acne where is its more on the surface of the skin. This is for those deeply clogged pores that look more like ingrown hairs.

This this is awesome but it does require a lot of energy. If you're buying cheap alkaline batteries, you'll be replacing them every 8-10 uses. Buy LITHIUM batteries! I put them in 2 weeks ago and have used the Zap 4-5 a day since then, its still going strong.

The Tanda is not a magic zit-eraser, but it does help.

I purchased this thinking that I would test out the technology and that if I found it helpful I might upgrade to one of the larger Tanda devices. I'm still undecided on making that investment, but I have found that it helps.

Using the Tanda kind of feels like you're holding a flashlight up to your face. Turn it on, place it over the area you want to treat, and hold it there until the vibrations stop. The device uses a combination of blue light, heat, and vibration to treat acne. It doesn't feel like it puts out a ton of heat, but it does feel warm. I haven't had any discomfort from the device unless I was using it on an area that was already sore from breakouts.

It seems to help the most if you can catch a pimple in the early stages. If you can catch it when you feel it starting to develop, the Tanda may keep it from fully developing into a visible zit. Like one of the other reviewers noted, I've also found that it helps on the hard nodules I get under my skin. It can take as long as a month for them to resolve on their own, but using the Tanda noticeably shrunk them in just a few treatments.

The two negatives are as, others have said, this thing eats batteries for lunch. So yes, buy the rechargables. It also has a relatively long treatment cycle, so if you want to use it on several spots you're going to be there for a while.

The Tanda has helped treat my acne, though. It's been a while since I tried a Zeno, but I'm finding the Tanda much more effective.

I am 45 and have had pretty persistent acne my whole life, so I'm always willing to try anything. When I asked my dermatologist before ordering it, he said he hadn't talked to any actual patients who'd used it, but it was worth a try and the science behind it was sound. I really didn't expect this to work, but I can say after using it for almost a year, I like this product. Keep in mind that it depends on the type of acne you have (as far as how effective it will be). For some kinds of acne it doesn't work--they are going to come out no matter what. I'm thinking that is more the severe cystic type of acne. You need to use it as soon as you feel a breakout coming on. While it's not exactly a "miracle", I am impressed. I'd say in 75% of my breakouts it has helped them to either not get bad or to not really come out at all. The only downside is it's time-consuming, as you have to hold it for 2 minutes, 3 times a day. If you have a lot of acne, that could take some time. I have the rechargeable battery that you just plug in and that works well.
